I don't think he's kinda shit by any stretch of the immagination, nor do I think he's "massively" overrated... I do think he is overrated though and that while he does pull a lot of the strings in an attacking sense, he doesn't score enough goals for an attacking player... and he never has.

A truely great attacker should have everything IMO and folk on here go on like he is a truely great attacker.

He is a very good attacking player, but not as amazing as quite a lot make out.

All that said, we are shitter without him, purely because we don't have any natural attacking midfielders when he's not available.

I was wondering who I would get to rant and correct me on my mistake and to you I have only one thing to say......

David Silva:
1 goal from 43 shots

Joey Barton:
4 goals from 39 shots

Don't have stats about free kicks or corners.

Don't get me wrong, I like Silva, he oozes class, but the fact is there is little end product, he doesn't score, assist, tackle or win headers. I hope that will change, but the worship he gets here is not really fully deserved yet.

Slim. I treat it with the contempt it deserves.

Truly , Truly, scrumptious.

That's what David is.

Are you serious? Barton takes penalties at Newcastle, of course he scores more. If Silva took penalties here he would almost be on ten goals now.

He makes us tick. Every time he is taken off the pitch during a match our passing play totally collapses. And when he's not on the pitch we never get going. He is Always available for pass and his off ball playis one of the best I've witnessed.

Imo he is vital to us and a great player. I'm not shouting on rooftops that he would be the best player in the world but what a player he is.

Absolutely. Sadly Taggart, whilst being a bitter, twisted, whiskey-nosed evil son of a bitch, is not stupid. Silva will be serially target by Cloggers United.

So, some people think Silva is over-rated. Are these the same people who written him off at the start of the season; do you write for the Sun?
