I suppose somebody had to start a negative Lescott thread and blame him for the first goal. Congrats.

Problem is mate is that we are always dropping bollox and getting punished for them - if this continues we´ll be keeping the fuclin Brasso on hold inperpetuity. WHEN WILL WE FINALLY LEARN ?!!!!

Well done to Mancio.

We all knew that United would play the long-ball/over the top game; perfect choice for me.

I thought Lescott was brilliant..in fact all the lads played well aside from Kolarov who looked way off the pace

Apart from that header he should have won against Rooney which lead to their goal I thought he was very good.

I think he's our 2nd best defensive CB after Vinnie & had an almost flawless game. Blaming him for the goal is fucking ridiculous. If someone pushes you when you have both feet off the ground, you can't guarantee getting in a decent header. He stopped Rooney from making any decent contact on the ball & it dropped into what should have been a fairly safe area. The 2nd & 3rd ball should have had City defenders challenging not players with time & space.

I was optimistic about him starting and thought he had a great game.

My thoughts exactly, he wins the header and it drops into space that no one is picking up. Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and applaud the pass from Giggs and the take down from Nani. There are not many teams in the world that can do that to you but Man U are one of them. Sad but true.

Maybe we are but today wasn't really one of those days. Lescott did not make a mistake for that first goal.He was challenged in mid air ( unfairly i thought ) and neither player got a proper head on the ball but Giigs reacted quicker than Kompany and Nani much quicker than Zaba. Could you fault Joe? I don't think so.

Then their second got a lucky deflection and a wonder strike which could be argued to be a fluke however good it was.

Lescott's only weak moment I saw was when Giggs took him on his right to get a ball over.I was worried for a while that lescott was playing on the right side but overall I though he had a good game as the majority seem to think.
