It helps if you have a manager capable of spotting good players. What do you suppose Mancini thought when he splashed out on somne of the shite that he has? Silva and Johnson aside, Milner too, he has bought some genuine pap. We were a vbery fast team 2 years ago. Now we are the slowest in the league. It's fucking shite.

Defenders are not what we needed in January. A striker who could adapt quickly to the Prem and take some load off Carlos was. Agree we are the slowest team in the league tho.

Imo, although a talented & promising player for the future, he will cost Chelsea more goals as the season continues. Today he was up against the slowest, weakest, attacking side he will face. As soon as someone with any pace or trickery runs at him, they will fuck him up. Tevez would have made a twat out of him.

We can't rely on Chelsea to beat Spurs imo & he's one of the main reasons.

It's not really a point to be flippant about. We're not talking 5 mill for Samaras here, we're talking in hundreds of millions. It's perfectly reasonable to expect a few failures but also a lot of successes, especially when players are being moved out to accomodate the new players.

Im not being flippant but I think there is a massive over reaction when we win/lose a game
from mancinis buys i would only consider boateng and ballotelli to be let down. johnson and silva have been top quality and the rest of his signings ie kolarov, milner ,dzeko and toure have been inconsistent but i believe given time they will be money well spent
just my opinion though, i may be completely wrong but I thinks its about time we stick with a manger instead of chopping and changing every five minutes

Were we in for him?

Or should we just be expected to buy every player who turns out a few good games?

You could be right about those players but so far, it's not looking that great & the other question is; are those choices the best we could have got for the money & even if they do get better? Do they balance out the team & improve it in the right areas or could/should it have been done differently? Is Bob getting the best out of them or is it because of him that they don't gel?

I'm not one for sacking managers either but imo, a lot of things need to be considered, wherever we finish.

But 5million for Samaras was a f-ing joke, that was pretty much our entire transfer budget - the players were are in for have their transfers over inflated as it is City in for them - Lescott is a prime example, he was and never will be worth the money we spent on him, but over time (and it has taken some time) he has developed into a decent player - nowhere near his transfer fee, but I wouldn't now being saying he was a bad buy

I understand that & agree but even if every single one of Bob's signings turns out to play at the top of his game, having seen them all in action, they are mostly players we could have done without, who are unlikely to form a team imo. Aprt from Silva & Johnson, if he'd signed none of them & we still had the money plus Ned, Bellamy, Bridge, Robinho & Adebayor, we would have a more balanced squad, awaiting a few signings to finish it off. We are still awaiting those signings, irrespective of how Bob's players perform imo.
