Team against the Scum?

Team against the Scum?

Postby avoidconfusion » Tue Apr 12, 2011 12:21 pm

With Tevez out... what should I team look like?

For me:

-------------------Hart
Boyata Kompany Lescott Zabaleta
----------------DE JONG (written in capitals so Mancini gets the fucking point)
--------------Yaya
----------------------Silva
SWP----------------------------------AJ
------------------Dzeko

Knowing Mancini though, especially after the catastrophe that was the Liverpool game he will hide back in his shell, petrified and scared to death with a decent amount of cluelessness sprinkled in:

------------------Hart
Boyata Kompany Lescott Kolarov
------De Jong----------Barry
----------------- Yaya
--Milner--------------------------Silva
----------------Balotelli

Boateng?! Im sure zaba will come in. I'd say probably for boyota who is prone to the odd fuck up. But then again kolorov was DIRE last night, so fuck knows!

If we play mario he needs to be on the left of a 433 which we wont risk against the scum, so probably dzeko lumped up by himself with no service?

I meant Boyata, sorry. Fixed it.

In fairness Boyata looks better at RB than Kolarov does at LB. :)

How about Zaba as either full back?

I just hope Mario misses the coach down to London.

When I saw Vidal play in south africa he looked like a stronger, more powerful version of Micah. Then he got injured. Is he not going to make it at city then?

No. Are you sure it's Vidal you are talking about as a more powerful version of Micah?

I'm sure it was, Javan Vidal ? Big tall black local lad? Pace? I think he had his hand strapped up when we toured south africa.

Also, the limited times I've seen both McGivern and Mee play, McGivern always looked the better player yet I was expecting to be impressed by Mee.

yeah shouldnt micah be back ???

Hart (please make more than one save a game, hes in young player of the season nominees ffs)

Micah? Vince Lescott Zaba

de jong Yaya
Silva
Johnson Mario
Dzeko

? Otherwise we'd be lob sided.
I dont want to play mario but who else? Kolorov at left wing? Barry in and Silva to play left wing ? (please no) SWP?

I know thats a bit attacking and we need to own the midfield, but the only time we've played well this season is in a kind of 433 or 451 with tevez up front by himself. If we play dzeko we need width. Mario is also gash as a centre forward imo.

Vidal is a black lad and quite pacey but not really big and nowhere near as powerful as Micah.

If we're gonna play Dzeko, then Jonno needs to be on the left.

When we signed AJ quite a lot of people on here claimed that he was close to two footed. I have yet to see him attempt to cross it with his right foot ... If he did try to every now and then, he would be a lot more unpredictable and harder to play against.

We were all over the place last night so I think we have to go back to the tried and tested formation that the players understand - even though I don't enjoy us setting up that way:

----------------------------HART-----------------------------

ZABBA------KOMPANY--------LESCOTT---------KOLAROV-

---------------------------DEJONG---------------------------
--------------YAYA---------------------BARRY---------------

----JOHNSON-----------------------------SILVA-------------
-------------------------BALOTELLI--------------------------

Barry can double up with Kolarov in a deep position to stop Nani, Yaya can get forward to help Silva and Johnson and Bibotelli can stick one in from 5 yards out (please).

If that doesn't work then bring on SWP, Milner and Dzeko and lump it into the box as often as possible in the last 15 mins.
