The Yaya Toure 'Munich' song

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The Yaya Toure 'Munich' song

Postby twosips » Mon Apr 25, 2011 8:52 pm

It's a fucking disgrace. All of you that sang it, well - well done. You've completely embarrassed our club. I'm ashamed of it.

Mocking the dead - seriously, what the fuck is wrong with people?

Also, Frank Swift!

Fucks sake.

Holier than thou? What the fuck?!

Well if it means i don't enjoy mocking a horrible tragedy, then fucking yes - i am better than them. Seriously. It's horrible and embarrassing. It's lacking basic human empathy. It wasn't even a minority - it was all our away fans. It was loud clear and forceful. It made me cringe.

I don't get this. There is no direct abuse there in the song, fans on here have explained their reasoning for referring to them as 'munichs' and aren't mocking the dead, and our main Tevez song has been around since he signed without it having a thread of its own (unless I missed it and the song became acceptable). Has this got anything to do with the BBC documentary?

I make a point of not singing the runway song since I have been old enough to understand it, and it is far far worse than this.

That's nowhere near as offensive as I was expecting. I wouldn't exactly call it a Munich song either.
