My only criticism from yesterday is that we didn't play like Barca after going 2-0 up. I'd have loved us to have maintained 70% possession for the remainder of the game to have completely snuffed them out.

Agreed. I can't believe people give him the satisfaction of debating with him. A moron and, I suspect, a scummer.

played shite? are you mental? we made it hard work but going forward we were class, created loads of gilt edged chances, which admitedly we should have done far better with. intricate play inside the area, and hitting it from outside the area too. the game should have been out of sight, and on another day it would have been. but we still won. that shows that we're moving forward to me.

I dont care what it means, put simply the OP needs to get a bloody grip. This is turning out to be a truely fantastic season, im 32 (this week) and have never had a season like it, its also the first time I have ever been able to sling some well aimed shite straight back at the scum fans. We are at the head table and I cant see us leaving it for some time to come, so for fuck sake man up and for once can we please just get behind the team 100% for for the run in.

I don't know whether this guy is a WUM, but my feeling watching the match after the first 20 mins was exactly as it was after the first 20 against Blackburn - that we looked burnt out and second to every breaking ball.

We could have scored maybe two more yesterday, but they could have scored a few too. I'm delighted because at this stage of the season I'll take a win whatever way it comes. Its the business end and we desperately need top four.

But if you can't see that we gave serious encouragement to the opposition for long periods after 20 mins just like we did on Monday then I'd have to say you've got blue tinted glasses on.

On the plus side, its down to tiredness IMO and we are trying to play the game in the right way, so I'm a lot happier than I was!

Could have thrashed a poor West Ham team but wasted the chances

It was quite an entertaining game I thought. City got complacent for a brief spell, and the Hammers scored then, but after that although the fans were nervous, West Ham never looked like getting an equaliser and City created several more chances

I don't think Silva's gorgeous floated pass to play in Zabaleta for the second goal was shite.
I don't think Balotelli's chip shot that hit the woodwork in the second half was shite.
I don't think Stoke have it in them to do anything like this.
I expect Manchester City to play them off their feet at Wembley in the May sunshine.
I believe we will win the Cup comfortably.
And I am sick of hearing miserable buggers moan about the team and see a glass less than half empty when it's truly 90% full.
