The I'm So gutted I'm not going tomorrow thread...

Postby Nick » Fri May 13, 2011 7:41 pm

I've been staying low key this week and did before the semi really, other than getting giddy over my tickets. So pissed off that I got to the semi and anfield and goodison and am not going tomorrow :(. The semi was Immense! Please sing your hearts out and give your all on behalf of me!

There was actually a ticket going for around £280 but I couldnt not justify that with a holiday booked ant the lack of transport options. My mate picked one up in a pub in town today for £120 - which is face value for some seats! Crazyness!

Looks like I'll be off to the ground / Mary D's.

Well ive been working at wembley this week, and I watched them put up both city's colours. Ive asked if I can have our flag after the weekend as they will only end up in the bin. I have a photo from my phone but it doesn't seem to upload.

Hope all that go have a great trouble free day.

Was really hopeful of getting tickets today from two different sources, but, so far, nothing has come from either. Totally pissed off now.

Gutted but..

I'm getting up at 9am.. watching the semi final again while browsing the forums and previews, then getting some beer in, sticking Blue Moon Rising on.. then its ITV from 1pm for the build up to the game.. followed by what I hope is the dawn of a new era!

Its better than Christmas.

Do you know, I've been feeling the same myself. We decided not to attend because we couldn't get tickets for the kids (group thing and all that) as it just wouldn't feel right. Over the last week I've been thinking that I've been a tool and should've been a selfish twat and fooked em off, but now, after sitting with the lads for a few hours, it's made me realise that our decision was 100% right.

From Day 1 my City experience has always been about family, going with my old man, with my brother, with my mates, and now is no exception. If I'd/we'd gone without those that we have around us, then I'm fairly certain that it'd've been an empty day, regardless of the result, and with us having the chance to have many other opportunities to get there on loyalty alone, I'm sure it won't be long until those 3000 points turn into the dream we have all been waiting for.

I suppose you could say it's just a family thing.

This is City, this is Life ;-)
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Gutted myself too but I need to stay in Italy because of my job! However a big surprise yesterday. Somebody who works at AC give us a wonderful present of three 1st Category tickets at San Siro for AC Milan-Cagliari tomorrow night! And so I'll suffer twice: 1) I won't be at Wembley 2) I can't watch my beloved City live on tv! Still dazed and confused ...
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

My cousin had a ticket with my name on it, but I had to turn him down as I cant afford the face value of £115, "typical city" the first year in 20+ that I have such cash flow problems and we get to the sodding finals :(

Still I am chuffed that another of my cousins is flying in from his home in Miami to watch it with his brothers, as their Mum a life long (like all of the family) blue died in December so at least they will be able honour her memory.

Me, looks like 8 cans of 1664 for £7 off the my man in the petrol station and my 42" Pana plasma on ITV HD, hope the neighbours don't get a viewing on their house during the game, I could easily lose them a sale!

Am working but have managed to slope off early as a last minute deal. will be watching on tv with my son and his mate (also a city boy) and cannot wait till the first city goal goes in - and the second and the third...
willl be great to be with the lads but damn I'd much rather be at wembley....
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

I'd love to be there but simply wasn't possible.

I don't begrudge anyone who has a ticket the chance to be there today and just hope that everyone does their bit like at the semi.

Am actually made up that people like Andie, Kiers, Chris, Doug, Kate, Beeks, Chinners, Craig, Neal...and the rest of you fuckers who I either do know for real or just from here are getting to go to enjoy what will be a proper occasion.

Do us proud!
