You don't even have to read between the lines.

When asked why Scheijder would join the scum over us, he struggled to come up with a single reason, then fobbed it off with "because it's united". They have run out of reasons and even managed to come up with a reason to join City instead, even though they were using it as a snide comment.

The worst part about the whole thing is that they were constantly saying that any player that joins City only joins for money because we can't offer anything else.
