Sky Italia reporting that City and udinese are meeting right now to try and conclude negotiations. Its about the same time they met over Kaka so not unusual.

Anyway, lets hope we sign him and move on.

Napoli quash City-Hamsik link

Napoli have rejected claims Manchester City have made a bumper bid for Marek Hamsik.

The 23-year-old is seen as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe and helped Napoli finish third in last season's Serie A.

City have become the latest club to be linked with the Slovakia international, who has already made 46 international appearances.

The Premier League outfit are reported to have offered €40million (£35m) for Hamsik.

But after quashing talk of a potential bid from AC Milan, Napoli's president Aurelio De Laurentiis has now brushed off the latest speculation.

"It's just the same old story," he told Radio Marte.

"I have not received any offer for €40m for Hamsik."

The attacking midfielder joined Napoli from Brescia in 2007 and has gone on to score 41 goals in 143 league games for them.

Hamsik still has another four years on his contract with the southern club.

Is it me or are the other teams we are being linked with doing more of the denying these days. Everytime the papers come up with one thing the club come straight out saying they are talking shit.

Maybe because now we are more of a threat to other potential buyers making them look elsewhere instead of a way of putting 5/10 mill on the asking price.

If we kept denying all the stuff that was bollocks, then everybody would of course work out quite quickly who our real targets are, as they would be the ones we didn't deny, unless we lied about them too, in which case, nobody would believe us when we denied the 'bollocks' ones.

The press know this & therefore they can say almost anything; so they do.

On that clip they keep showing of him on SSN doing loads of stepover thingys, it looks like he goes on to miscue the ball horribly out of play.
Still it looks good up to that point.

I guess it MIGHT be possible for them to have permission to talk to him without a transfer fee being agreed. I presume Boateng has more sense than to let the cat out of the bag otherwise.

Sanchez - City deal not done

Alexis Sanchez's agent insists a deal with Manchester City is not in place, as reports claim that rivals Manchester United are still in for him.

The Chilean international looked to be edging towards a move to City after their president Gino Pozzo confirmed that Roberto Mancini's men were most likely to land him despite interest from Juventus, Inter Milan and Barcelona.

City have reportedly offered Vladimir Weiss as part of the deal, which is believed to have appealed to Udinese, but his agent insists his future is not yet decided.

"An agreement with Manchester City? Sanchez's future is still wide open," Fernando Felicevich told La Gazzetta dello Sport

"We're working on it, after meetings with City, today we will have new appointments."

And one of those meetings is reportedly due to be with United in the Catalan capital, where they will also talk with Barcelona.

Sanchez to the rags has to be the biggest load bullshit this summer. They've pretty much secured Ashley Young. They've already got Valencia and Nani. They'll have spent just under £40 million on two players with Jones and Young and we expect them to spend another £30+ Million on Sanchez??!
