Isn't that what every manager always says.

no

Well I've heard that repeated ad nauseum eversince transfer window was introduced.

Anyway, which manager wouldn't want all his players before preseason? Is there someone (other than 'Arry) who wants the business done around late august?

Oh, and there's also the minor thing that TRANSFER WINDOW ISN'T EVEN OPEN.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Thought it was different for english players and foreign ones. Not sure if right way round but thought we could sign any English player at season close, but players from other countries after 1st July. The signing can be done but not fully sanctioned by FA.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

the real question is, do we really want to shell out £25m + on an unproven premier league player. We could get Drogba for cheaper, and I don't care what anyone says he still has two great seasons left in him, and will score vital goals. We don't know this about Sanchez.

Like David Silva?

Like Yaya Toure?

No, you're right. Let's sign Drogba and Matt Etherington instead.

What are you talking about?

Milner? Bridge? Santa Cruz-Doubtful?

This isn't even a debate worth having, the point you are trying to make is quite simply a pile of bollocks.

So really you don't think Drogba will score goals if he came to City?

Of course he would. Although he is getting on and is a completely different player to Sanchez. However, it was more your suggestion that we shouldn't spend big money on players who are "unproven in the premier league" which I was referring to as nonsense.

Well the way I see it, as so many others have said this summer is that I think the squad only needs a few changes, nothing major and bringing in a player like Sanchez is another big haulover for the squad. I must admit I'm not exactly sure where he plays I thought he was an out and out striker so with Dzeko, Balotelli, Adebayor, and a proven premier league goalscorer (be it tevez or drogba) I think we have more than enough firepower.

If he is a winger, I hold my hands up.

Rumor has it if Inter will name Bielsa (ex Chile coach) as their new manager, Sanchez will go there.

According to Sky Sports Barcelona are back in the running to sign Sanchez and are confident of agreeing a deal with Udinese

Barcelona have opened talks with Udinese over a deal for Alexis Sanchez and are optimistic about winning the chase for his signature.

Udinese declared earlier this week that Manchester City were the favourites to land the highly-rated Chile international, who has also been linked with Juventus, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United.

However, the player's agent later insisted his future was still wide open and Barca now appear to be very much back in the running.

The Spanish and European champions have been linked with the 22-year-old winger for some time and vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu is Bartomeu is hopeful an agreement will be reached.

"We are optimistic, but this has just begun. We are negotiating for Sanchez," he told Chilean newspaper La Tercera.

"We know he is a valuable player; that is why there are so many teams after him. We have to continue talking and we will see what is going to happen in the next few days."

Sanchez is thought to prefer a move to Camp Nou but Bartomeu recognises that it is Udinese who hold the key to his arrival in Barcelona.

"We will first have to come to an agreement with Udinese," he said

It's pissing me off how the media reports are changing on a daily basis. Last week we were out of the race to sign Sanchez, then a few days later we were the favourites to sign him with Barca seemingly out of the running, then the rags were in pole position to sign him and now Barca are back in contention all of a sudden.

Is anyone else's head spinning?

I'd be walking away from Udinese and Sanchez right about now and going hard after someone like Nasri or even the likes of Xavi (as if Barcelona are really in for Sanchez at 30million, one of that Barca midfield is going to be playing a lot less games next year).

Fucking Italians, such underhand cunts it is untrue.

Sanchez, Udinese and the Agents for both are playing City like a fiddle here. Time to pull the pegs, withdraw and focus on other things; its gone on long enough.
