I'm not one for looking at values of players, seems a bit football manager to me, for example, with a year left on his deal De Jong's not worth £17m under accounting terms, he's prob worth a quarter of that. In value to the club he's prob worth triple that!

surely something more signicant would be to look at whats left on players contracts.
