Top four at least, chasing the title to the end.

A good run in the champs.

A good go at defending the FA Cup.

These things would make a good season imo.

Top 2 for me, as was said earlier I don't think we give ourselves enough credit tbf,

Rags will be missing 3 experienced players this coming season, I doubt that Giggs will be as influential (on or off the field) if the press continue to hound him :) they are certainly on the road to an end of an era

Chelski, well new manager and some ageing players

Scouse, can the Kenny factor continue? Again they have key players ala gerrard and carragher that are in twilight years. One thing tho in their favour is no Euro footie they have less to concentrate on.

Arse, well, I think they will always be top 4, not much more tho.

One thing for sure is we need to stop all these draws in the cups , especially if we are going to do well in CL.

A LOT will depend on whom comes and goes at each of the above, I firmly believe (assuming Tevez stays) we don't need many more players coming into key positions, giving us the advantage of a team that was clicking at the end of last season.

I think the spuds will lose key players and they Wont figure in top four, but I do reckon they will reach SF of Europa if not win it.

So yep, I DON'T expect, but definitely like top 2, charity shield to set us in good stead, semi of the FA and getting beyond group in CL.

i believe we have to stack up some 'mo, as they say, and really get the wind in our sails...and create that winning "aura" that just pushes teams from accomplishment to accomplishment.

Just in the last decade we've seen how easy teams like the filth, chelsea and barca made winning something look easy, and it's because they've been there and done that.

while i don't expect to win a trophy *every* season, i think the next 2 seasons are important to establish ourselves as total, fuclin balls-out, badass, fear our shirt motherfuclin "winners" and if we can string together another cup this year and the league next season or hell even the Europa thingy this season and the league next, etc...some combo of winning something of ascending importance over the next 2 years then i think we start to impact teams mentally in ways that we've seen the scum and others do.

i'm not trying to sound like an arrogant, greedy American gloryhunter, but we need to put our foot on the gas pedal as we head into turn 1, no?

just a thought.

oh now yr asking for it...if only i had a fucksaw to satiate you with my friend. That's right, google it, genius...fucksaw. yr welcome. ought to keep you busy for 30 minutes. Bring a towel before you sit down tho please.

here's the thing..."Soccer" is a word you fucks invented. if i need to say it again, i'll do it. it's not an American word. It's your word.

Embrace your history. THat's the problem with modern Britain, they want to ignore history, whereas the older generations respected, and embraced it. CARL's right. You crazy kids are ruining it for everyone with your bling, and your music and your crime and your lack of respect, and lack of national pride, and community sense, etc...should i go on? i could. i probably could go on. i'll stop.

cheers

Challenge for the title from the beginning to the end of the season.
Escape the CL group stage.
Get to a cup semi.

And, above all else, play football with the swagger of knowing we are made of the best stuff.

All reasonable, attainable targets - hitting anything above them would be a pleasing bonus.

Seeing as no one has done it, satiated is a derivative of satisfied. If you can't be satisfied you are insatiable as my mate Darren Hayes once sung.

Nooly and Bibbers will follow with something googleyish no doubt.

Oops, to get back on topic, you enter a competition with the hopes, confidence and desire to win it. You don't demand to win it. The former is in the spirit of competition. The latter is pure arrogance. I'll let you draw your own dots on where Im going with this.

i don't know if your comment is dickrected at me or not, but while you can't demand City win something like a petulant child, you can expect them to do so if the players, facilities and preparation you've had in the last season should begat another strong campaign, on 4 fronts even. Obviously, teams and seasons will disappoint you, and every team is hopeful they are built to withstand adversity, but sometimes they aren't. That's life.

i think Mancini has actually done a good job respecting the English league and its varied styles of play and general physicality of the league, etc, sometimes too much, but he's showing that he's learning and willing to put in the work to earn what i feel we deserve based on our talent and financial abilities.

Why you would want or expect less than what i laid out in my original post i have no idea, but that's why i started the thread.

I'm not not not not not not judging you, i'm judging me....

I don't think we can expect to win anything but we can expect to challenge for everything.

That's right. I expect to challenge and be there at the business end of the season. I realize my wording probably suggests otherwise but a full read of my post should make it clear. You can hope for success and plan for it. As a fan I expect to matter in every.competition.

If, from the start of every game, we go for the opposition's throats, without any fear and try to storm all over them with the quality of our attacking play, I'd be happy, full stop.

If we played like that, the trophies would follow of their own accord, I'm sure.
