Don't know how we'd fare if that were the case.

Give over.

I know, Ted; but it just feels that the world and his wife are all buying with unconcerned abandon, The Scum are spending dollops of cash they don't have and now Arsenal and Liverpuddle are supposedly fighting over the carcass of Juan Mata, whilst we're sat here unable to off load the surplus units largely brought in by Spews, whilst getting bogged down with our own acquisitions.

Think I'll have to cheer myself up by playing my Leonard Cohen CDs.

Think Liverpool are buying shite for big money. MAYBE they reap benefit in the future but I don't see them as big threat next year. Arsenal are a complete mess and they seem to be losing core of their team. Chelsea are starting to be really old side and haven't been that active in market YET. Rags worry me big time though. They've made some fine signings already. I never understood why we went for Milner instead of Young as he was the one we needed.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Personally I think Milner is a better player than Young and am glad we went with him instead.
For me people don't appreciate or recognize the quality of some of the crosses he puts in.
Defensivley for me James is miles ahead of Young, for me and the only thing I see Young having over James is pace.

............and Milner was the outstanding player in a team that included the mediocre Young.

Back in the day you use to build a team over time. You would start with a good base, good core, maybe from a set of awesome local youngsters. Identify weak areas and add one of 2 very good big signings each year, after 2 or 3 years, you'd build a squad good enough. Then, time was needed. Time gels, players get better, more experienced, more use to each other, you start winning things and it becomes a habit.

The squad we have today, should be capable of winning the league, I shit you not. Player for player, who from scum would you rather we had than them?

Evra? maybe
Vidic, maybe
Rooney, maybe

There aren't another other players from the other best team in the league that I'd rather have.

Even if we just bring in quality back up, we are still fucking strong compared to other clubs.

If we could ignore the fact they are scum and poor old Antti would have kittens should we ever sign another rag.

Nani>Johnson
Evra>The plank of wood
Vidic>Lescott
Rooney...ummm, not sure where he would play, certain not better than Carlos which would be the obvious position.

Surprised it hasn't been locked at the very mention!

I DID have my finger on the trigger.

p.s. unfortunately Nani (as much as I think he is disgusting greasy shite) and Young are better than anything we got on the wing unless you count Silva as winger which he can be but hasn't really played there much at all for us.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
