Tevez wants to leave... AGAIN

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Yawn. We know Carlos, but nowts changed since Dec 2010 really has it?

Carroll went for £35m and he isnt in Tevez ballpark as a player. Torres went for £50m and he cant hit a barn door with an exocet. Tevez has 52 goals in the past 2 Pem seasons, and at age 27 is in his pomp years. His value is £45m-£50m minimum and who can afford that? Nobody in Argentina so thats out.

In the UK maybe Chelsea but they are out, so that leaves Inter or Real. These two better come with Sneijder, Benzema or Higuain on the table along with cash or they are wasting their time and ours.

Tevez can go, but when it suits us, not him. Marwood and Khaldoon are not soft arses when it comes to business either, and with 3 years left on his contract and City not needing money particularly, I like our bargaining position a lot more than Tevez and Kia's. If no deal arises, City can take a stand and make him come back - if he refuses then he plays for nobody and we dock his wages until he does show up.

Quite why he feels the need to wait until July 4th to come out with this again escapes me. I am also certain will have something in mind for this, as it can hardly have come as a shock to those in power at COMS.

I hope City will not sell him on the cheap to Boca Juniors or some other club in South America. And if he goes to Real Madrid or Inter that only means the reasons he is giving for leaving are shit.

If he is genuinely putting his family first then I actually aaplaud him. I'd put my family first before anything and in the football world where the career is short and the earning power in his current job at City is of the scale (in comparative terms), then to find a balance of being with his family and in all likliehood earning less money is commendable.

In an ever increasing world of greed I find his decision refreshing, even if it means the team I've supported for 35 years will miss his talents.

If he really wants to put his family first, retire from football or say you'll only play in Argentina for a low wage. Then I'd be disappointed, but I'd respect him. But he's using them as an excuse for another move and another big pay day for his agent. 'somewhere my family can settle'. I'd settle in Kabul for £250k a week.

Complete and utter, self obsessed prick. Haven't clapped him since his Xmas outburst and I'm really glad now I'd leave him a personal message in case he came on here, but the thick twat still can't speak English despite being here for 5 years. Way to try and settle.

To be honest, I hope we will get rid ASAP now. This guy has been nothing but drama since Christmas and to be honest he hasn't been that great since after Christmas either.

Unfortunately, clubs know we need to sort this quickly & will now try to take the piss, not only on the offers for Tevez but the price they ask for players we need to sign to replace him. I can't see us getting any value unless we do swap deals.

Hmmm... he's been AMAZING on the pitch. The finest City player for a generation and since Christmas I watched him score a hatrick and numerous goals and assists in the FA Cup...

Lets put away the sour grapes. Call him a cunt all you want, but NOBODY is gonna convince me we're "better off" without him on the pitch. Fuck that.

I dont think anyone can say he's not been brilliant for us...but like I said after that fucking stunt in January I lost all respect for him and to be honest...I'm glad he's going...the dressing room doesn't need that shit

Got to agree with AC - look at his stats pre and post Xmas. Could have been just a blip in form that wouldn't have been noticed if it hadn't been for his outburst, but personally, I think he lost interest.

Put in a transfer request?

Thought he was below his standard after Xmas and that linked with our poor run of form, till we worked out how to play without him. He clearly didn't want to play for us and why he was still hero worshipped I'll never know.

Milan rule out move for Man City striker Tevez
Page last updated at 11:38 GMT, Wednesday, 22 June 2011 12:38 UK

BBC Sport

Tevez put in a transfer request with City in December Inter Milan have ruled out a move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez and complained about the "crazy" transfer market this summer.

The Italian side have been consistently linked with a move for the 27-year-old Argentine over the last few months.

But sporting director Marco Branca told BBC Sport: "Tevez is a great player, a great character, but absolutely no.

"His salary means it is out of the question. The market is crazy at the moment and it is hard to compete."

Branca said Inter are revising their wage bill ahead of Uefa's financial fair play regulations, which come into force in 2012/13 and require clubs to balance their books if they are to compete in Europe.

Tevez submitted a transfer request at Eastlands in December last year - which he later withdrew - and was widely expected to leave this summer.

Inter Milan sporting director
While Branca revealed he is a big admirer of the Argentine, he reiterated there is just no way that Inter can afford him.

"He is a great player but a move for him is out of the question," said Branca, who is responsible for recruitment at the Serie A outfit. "We have to organise our finances for the financial fair play rules in the next two years.

"We don't have the same revenues from merchandise and match day as the English sides. We are looking for younger players now with great talent, who we can develop."

Branca added Inter have been priced out of deals for other players.

"Take [Udinese winger] Alexis Sanchez, a player we liked," he said. "Manchester City raised their bid for him to 35m euros [£31.2m] plus a bonus, which ruled us out of the race.

"In the end, the player preferred to go to Barcelona and they got him for 28m [£25m] and a 10m [£8.9m] bonus. Not many clubs can afford that."

Inter are currently looking for a new manager after caretaker boss Leonardo announced he was leaving to join French club Paris St Germain last week.

Branca refused to discuss specific names but stated: "We hope to make a decision on the new manager within days."

He revealed that the club had been keen to recruit Andre Villas-Boas, who has now been appointed manager of Chelsea. Villas-Boas worked for the club as chief scout when Jose Mourinho was manager.

"Villas-Boas likes us and we like him," Branca said. "He was with us for nearly two years but the situation was that he had a clause, like a player.

"The release clause was 15m [£13.4m] euros. We don't want to give Porto a job as well as him, so why should we pay them so much? Chelsea were the only club willing to pay that."

Players Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto'o have also been strongly linked with transfers away from Inter to the Premier League but Branca insisted the duo are happy in Milan.

"Sneijder and Eto'o are great players who can change a game in a moment, so it is normal that great teams should be thinking about them but they are happy here and I don't think they want to leave," he said. "We certainly don't want them to."

Think we need to stop with the 'Tevez is shit' -er- shit.

Tevez is a superb player and one of the best in the business based on goals scored, work rate ec.

Tevez is an annoying drama queen off the pitch but I still think City will just shrug and wait for the best offer to turn up and if it doesn't I suspect Tevez will stay with all his usual industry on the pitch and all the drama queen bollocks off the pitch.

I don't think City will have been 'stunned' by this piece of news and Gary Cook is probably cracking open the bubbly right now and praying someone somewhere makes an offer but we do as Mancini said the other day need another striker and today's announcement/statement of the bleeding obvious should add some urgency to that quest...

That piece was from last week but it mentions Tevez' wages. If he wants to go, he'll most likely have to be willing to take a pay cut, unless Jose has tapped him up, in which case, they'll offer 20 mil, then he'll just sit there like Adebayor is doing & wait to see if we crack. If we don't sell, we get it all through autumn & again at Christmas.

Unfortunately, I recon Tevez' stance coupled with that bent twat Platini's rules has totally fucked up his value. Hardly anyone can afford his wages. I bet the little bastard will still insist on every cent, so only Real or Barca can afford him & they will know we are stuck with a disgruntled player so they can take the piss on price & just wait it out.
