If we don't sell, we get it all through autumn & again at Christmas.

If Real really want Tevez and Jose sees him as crucial to his plan to end Barca domination then Real won't play hard ball for that long as ending Barca domination is far more important to Real (and Jose if he wants to keep his job) then dicking around for ever on the fee plus they have players to off load to sweeten the pot. Ade is different. We don't want him and I don't think Real want him especially either so don't really care about dragging it out. To be honest I think Ade has lost touch with reality but thats just a personal opinion.

The key question is do Real really want Tevez? If they lowball an offer then they are not that serious about Tevez so City will just dismiss it until they get serious. If Real don't show any sign of putting together a realistic package then Tevez doesn't go anywhere. Barca won't go for him. Inter is doubtful and after that you are struggling for options bar Chelsea which is a non starter.

Tevez could slash his wage demands to free money up for a fee but I don't see this happening either.

Not sure where this will end but I still wouldn't bet against him being at City this season. Against that I am sure Cook will do his utmost to move Tevez to another club provided any offer meets (or gets close) to City's valuation.

If I was Guardiola, I'd forget about Sanchez & offer City the money. Tevez is miles better than Sanchez.

If he wants to go so badly he should buy his contract out, then he can fucl off to anywhere he wants. But will he do that? Will he hell.

I can see why he would be reluctant tbh. Just look at Tevez & Messi falling over each other's feet for the national side.

Agree that Tevez would suit Barca at the moment but they are struggling to get to the Sanchez valuation so no chance they would get to the Tevez valuation unless they put players in the mix. Would also put Sanchez back in play. Can't see Barca going for this though. One option is Juve but Tevez already kicked it into touch presumably because he wants a move to Spain but if all else fails Juve get Tevez and City go for Aguero who Juve are allegedly chasing.

Once again though, it all depends on Tevez' wage demands. I recon he's going to demand full whack & Juve can't pay it.

If Barca were willing to let one of their promising youngsters go, they could take Tevez for the same money as Sanchez & we would get future value from the deal. Then we could buy Sanchez. Alternatively I would take Afellay from them as part exchange.

At the end of the day, if any club can come up with £50m plus and pay his wages, fine, let's get it done and sorted now.
FFS this must be done on our terms if it's a player exchange, and I wouldn't be happy with anyones cast offs.
We will then need to spend big and find a player that fits Tevez' shoes, fair play rules or not, and get on with it.

In an ever increasing world of greed I find his decision refreshing, even if it means the team I've supported for 35 years will miss his talents.

I suspect this type of reaction is the exact reason why Tevez has played the family card, as he thinks it will help him save face with the fans.

His "irreconcilable differences" gambit back in December was a damp squib so he's seeing if this will have legs. If this doesn't work we might see him try to engineer a second Falklands War just to get out of England.

Like a few others on here I share the opinion that yes he is a world class player.........but we can play some good stuff without him, so its hardly the end of the world if he f*cks off,

I am getting sick of the usage of the media by him to try and engineer sympathy for his family situation, the only thing stopping him being there with them is his own greed, and he would hardly be on the starving list if he went and played there.

So thanks for your efforts so far Carlos, but if you want to go then say so like a man, instead of whining like a bitch.

He has a contract so we can say if and where he goes, and unlike many teams we can afford to leave him to rot in the reserves and enforce that contract to the letter

I have got no hard evidence for thinking this, but I would not be surprised to see us swapping him for kaka / fake ronaldo.

Please no.

Let's fuck him off and have done with it, once he stumps up his contract cash of course.

The rate he goes on SKY must have a bloke employed just to follow his utterings.

Shame. If it isnt the same bollocks as usual and he does go then i wont be making any bets on where we finish next season.

Only player that could replace him is ronaldo.

I dont really go with that mate. 12 months ago maybe but the whole squad has moved on, and proved in the last 3 months of the season that they can play without him. Especially if they bring in a half-decent replacement and maybe another one too.

The way some folk go on we cant do anything without Tevez, which more or less translates into:

"No team can win the League without Tevez".

Which is clearly nonsense. He's served his time, lets move on.

I wonder if Diddums had his nose put out of joint by Clichy getting all the City headlines recently? Tevez makes a habit of making these statements whenever someone else steals the limelight. I love what he has done on the pitch, but his conduct has been immature and selfish. When he does eventually leave, many fans will breathe a sigh of relief.

although it would be fucking horrible in terms of team spirit etc surely CITY hold the cards here (although nobody wants this distraction)

Kia obviously wrote those words - as he did in December (IMO) - We simply need to hold firm and seek the price we want and if not he will come back to play for us - the majority of players would be disruptive - but I think that Carlos would just be - well Carlos

If he does not come back then we do not need to pay him - so of course he will

Not ideal by a million miles - but we need to be strong
