I know it's bullshit but that's the sort of combo that COULD replace what Tevez brings in the table.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I'm a bit uncomfortable giving the Arse 22 mill for a player in the final year of his contract. He's not Messi.

Juan Matta 15 mill to Arsenal makes Nasri with 1yr left look way over the top, Matta will be a great number 10 IMO. sign Matta and Villa, Silva is here. Job done.

i would be dissapointed if that is true - Mata is more what we need imo i.e. a winger

not having a go at nasri but if this is the way round the deal is going, no wonder people try and take us for mugs

Mark (Blue Army) wrote:City strikers heading for Moscow

Manchester City duo Jo and Felipe Caicedo both look set to seal moves to Russia.

24-year-old Jo joined City in 2008 from CSKA for £6million - but his switch to England has been a big failure.

He has played just 21 games for City, and has spent three loan spells away from the club - two with Everton and one with Galatasaray.

Now his former club CSKA are ready to take him back on an initial loan until January with a view to a permanent move.

And Jo will not be alone in moving to the Russian capital as Caicedo looks to be heading to Moscow with Lokomotiv in talks with him.

Caicedo, like Jo, also joined City in 2008 - but he has been unable to forge a regular spot.

He has spent the last three seasons away from the club on loan with Sporting Lisbon, Malaga and Levante.

Indeed his spell with Levante was impressive as he bagged 13 goals and now Lokomotiv have moved to secure his signature.

"Caicedo has not yet signed any contract with Lokomotiv," Lokomotiv president Olga Smorodskaya told RIA Novosti.

"We are in very difficult talks with his club, therefore, I wouldn't like to endanger their success by premature forecasting of the outcome.

"Probably, the negotiations will last for a week."

I have always liked Caicedo.
Jo can fuck off though.

It'd be good moves for both if it happens. Please let it happen. Then we can try to move another 8 or so....

Roque's first proper games was sunderland at home and he showed what he could do with 2 well taken goals. He's just become a stick to beat Hughes with

And rightly so. Everyone bar Hughes knew we'd end up in the situation we're in now - lumped with an 18 million pound, high-grossing, injury hit player who was never going to do anything here.

That the game you mention came in when...November? December? That's exactly the point. Ridiculously signing all round, and Hughes fought against no one to get him in.

It's not really any fault of RSC's, he's a decent player and I wish him well, but Hughes deserves all the shit he gets for acting like a dog chasing a bone.

according to various sources - real madrid will offer us 28 million euros and one of either benzama or higuain for tevez

now, whats the score with higuain ? I know he did his back in, I guess it's a career threatening injury otherwise I can't see real wanting to rid themselves of him

if he is fit however I would be tempted to go for that deal myself and get aguero

Think I saw him play late last season so I think he already made comeback of that back injury. I'd still have Benzema over him as I think he is marginally better player with experience from fast paced league in France.

I agree with you two. At this stage I'd take either Higuain or Benzema, depending which MANCINI rates more, and use the dosh received for Tevez to buy Aguero as replacement.

In fact, why not throw Adebayor in there and we could be looking three way deal where we'd basically get Aguero and Benzema/Higuain for Tevez and Adebayor (and maybe bit of dosh thrown in there).

Personally i rate aguero over higuan and benzema so i dont see the need in getting either of them plus you know anyone coming from real is going to be wanting a ridiculous salary negating the only positive to come from losing tevez, 12 million a year off the books.

Just get 50 million, buy aguero and nasri/sneijder/modric pretty please mr marwood sir.

Aguero would be someone in Tevez role ie in free role doing all sorts of things and working his magic in opposition half. Higuain or Benzema would centerforward who'd fight with Dzeko for the starting job. Personally I'm huge fan of Dzeko but at this stage both Higuain and Benzema are marginally better/more efficient centerforwards so they'd cover some of the goals we'd lose in losing Tevez. Aguero would cover some of the goals as well but first and foremost the creative/aggressive/tricky bit in Tevez game.

So basically it's not either or situation but two players covering for the loss of Tevez (and of course adding bit of extra). Furthermore, we are talking about two players outside Premier League so there will be adjustment period anyway.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

SSN reports that Brazilian club Corinthians have bid £35m for Tevez. How can they afford that plus his £10m a year wages?
