Agreed. That is a ridiculous bid!

For that sort of money I might buy him myself.

Lets just snap their hand off and get rid of the miserable fucker. As long as they dont want to pay in Brazilian or Argentinian futures bonds of course!

And Crossie FFS edit that title. 35 quid?!

I wouldn't hang around for a better offer, if I were City. Get Tevez out as soon as possible, put the £35 million towards a new striker, and get his ridiculous wages off the books.

The Times are saying it is not an offer to buy but that 35m or 40m would be Tevez wages? Surely we won't just loan him out for nothing??

I'd tell them to fuck off. In the end, Tevez has a contract with us, which he was happy to sign two years ago, so he can stuff it. If someone comes in with £50m, fair enough, look into a deal, but other than that, Tevez has no ground to stand on. He signed the contract with his agent for that matter, both agreed the deal and Tevez has another 3 years. Just because he had two good seasons, doesn't mean we owe him anything. After all, he got good wages out of those two years already.

As others have said, I'd stuck him in the reserves and make it clear he won't be coming out of there anytime.

Epic fail.
The goal.com article makes no mention of a £35 bid, instead merely saying Kia is having talks with Corinthians. The only deal mentioned is a one year loan. City would never allow that. And how could Corinthians afford his wages anyway?

I'm with bigblue on this one, it's all bollocks.

Tweeted Ian Herbert earlier to ask if it is a loan offer or an offer to buy, he says it is an offer to buy Tevez.

Weird though cause Duncan Castles has tweeted quotes from Corinthians saying it is a loan offer:

Corinthians pretty clear on Tevez: 'It would be a loan. We're not going to buy, these prices are absurd.'

Haha, poor old carlos, life is so tough for him.

No amount of money, beaches and pretty Brazilian women will ease his pain.

All he wants is to go home... to his ghetto.... to his drug dealer friends... hmmm.

I was calling his 'fail' as I thought he was implying it was ALL bollocks. It clearly isn't, and given the latest news on ESPN's website it's pretty obvious its a real bid.

Where has a Brazilian club come up with £35m from?

The Brazilian economy is booming. I think only China is currently has a bigger growing GDP rate. It will soon start to translate to the football clubs. I dont think they could afford the 40 million but I believe it may be plausable. You are going to see alot of South American players heading to Brazil soon and long gone will be the days where European clubs can pick up superstars for peanuts.

I am not suggesting these teams will be able to compete for the cream of the crop in terms of talent but I think you are going to see a real improvement in the standard of Brazilian club football in the next few years. The days of having to leave Brazil to make a fortune are over.

Ill believe theyve got that sort of wedge when I see it Ross. If they have, then great - for £40m they can have him. However, forgive my continued scepticism that this is all just a PR stunt.
