Where has a Brazilian club come up with £35m from?

The Brazilian economy is booming. I think only China is currently has a bigger growing GDP rate. It will soon start to translate to the football clubs. I dont think they could afford the 40 million but I believe it may be plausable. You are going to see alot of South American players heading to Brazil soon and long gone will be the days where European clubs can pick up superstars for peanuts.

I am not suggesting these teams will be able to compete for the cream of the crop in terms of talent but I think you are going to see a real improvement in the standard of Brazilian club football in the next few years. The days of having to leave Brazil to make a fortune are over.

Ill believe theyve got that sort of wedge when I see it Ross. If they have, then great - for £40m they can have him. However, forgive my continued scepticism that this is all just a PR stunt.

I would be willing to let him go at a lower fee to a South American club. Seeing him win the CL next year with another club would leave a bitter taste in my mouth. 30 Million plus first dibs on a few of their youngsters.

I watched Argentina in the Copa America last night. Aguero was very good. I do hope we're targeting him when Tevez fucks off.

I am going to double check but i'm almost positive that when Kia's company MSI owned Corinthians they All but bankrupted them.
So i really cant see them dealing with Kia again.

Radio one are claiming Kia has confirmed the two clubs are in talks and a deal is supposed to be close (but he would say that)

I say we sell up.

Carlos is a fantastic player but what a total cunt he has been in the past year.

Send him to Brazil, let him rot. Get Aguero or someone who actually fancys playing for us without thinking we owe them.

Only way I'd deal with them (as I agree, it does look dubious) is to send him on loan.

But only if:
-£10 Mil upfront paid to us
-1 year loan deal, they pay 100% wages
-Then they have the option to buy or we take him back / sell him on.
-A team of Brazilian dancing girls / cheer leader types to provide pre-match entertainment in City Sq.
-Regular displays of the Brazillian female beach volley ball team at half time.

This way we still own the players contract, and we can still govern where he goes - next season we'll be in a stronger possition still (hopefully) so may not worry too much about were he moves too, we'd have made £10 mil, saved 1 years worth of wages, got him out of the squad so he isn't disruptive and could still sell him on (although for a less than this year).

At the end of the day Kia Jabawocky won't put his hand in his pockets to buy him as he know's he's at premium price now and will never make the money back on him - plus he wants his last big pay day from his [strike]Lap-Dog[/strike] Bezzer Mate.

I say it won't happen. Their offer will be £35m spread over the next four millenia and based on him scoring at least 1,000 goals per season.

Kia and herman then get to say that they tried to move back to South America, where he wants to go so that he can see his kids growing up (using a very powerful telescope) and that they'd agreed a deal with Corinthians, but nasty old City refused to let him leave - he's just a slave, you know.

Corinthians will say they tried to buy one of the best players in the world, but nasty old City refused to talk to them, just like they did to Bayern.

The only place left for herman and his family is therefore Real Madrid, even though that wasn't his first choice, but City has forced it on him. Real then offer us even less.

Everyone comes out smelling of roses, except City. I suspect someone will also make a large profit from the deal, although, again, it won't be City.

If that is the case where it ain't paid in full reject the offer simples.
But i bet removing Tevez from your wage bill wouild look very nice indeedie.

In all of this I can see what a sad pair of twats Tevez and his agent are. Argentina are trying to win a major competition on home soil. Clearly evrything including his country comes second to him, Get rid ASAP City.

Fantastic player, very unloyal, quiet probably the best forward in world going to the shitty Brazilian league at his peak, wtf is that about?
But anyway, we will replace him and removing his wages from the club will look good.
Adios Carlos, thanks for the performances, I'm sure when you think about it a bit more you will miss city, especially the fans who adored you.

The third part of Corinthians belong to Kia Korobchian and so ... good luck Carlos and let's do the Poznan even if you won't be here to win with us at Eastlands!

£35mil up front, with a decent (ie 30-50%) sell-on clause would be a good bit of business, if we could wangle it. It would keep him in South America, unless he basically shoots up in value, meaning we'd be nailed on for another wedge in a couple of years' time.

Just a (boring) accounting thought but, in view of the fact that a number of posters have advocated us getting any fee for Tevez 'up front', would this be in our longer term best interests under Platini's FFP regulations ??

In year one (i.e. next season) of the Club's accounts which will be scrutinised by Platini's minions, it might still be feasible for us to make and get away with a (big) loss, providing we are showing ways and means to get future losses reduced to a certain, prescribed level. On that basis, in years 2 and 3 and beyond, would an additional income of £9 or £10million each year for Tevez be more useful as an additional way of managing and reducing our losses, particularly when coupled with any additional and increasing income we could expect to receive ??

Furthermore in years 2 and 3, the squad will have been virtually rebuilt and there should be very little need, at that future time, for a big annual outlay on new players.

I know that getting a fee up front is a natural feeling which might slightly mitigate our ill feeling towards Tevez and his adviser, but would this be in our best interests overall ??

I hope speculation about this dolt doesn't drag on all summer. All this "wife and kids" crap was boring months ago. It's a convenient excuse, and he's using them as cover for his own avarice. He's a greedy, completely selfish little twat, who is never happy anywhere. When he goes I'll be very happy.
