Ned would be worth somewhere in the middle of those prices by my reckoning. Sturridge too. Barton would have fetched a lot more than £5.8m without his baggage. Some of the other have done okay and might have done better with more opportunities.

What we've generally seen is that most of the more talented of our young players have had either (or both) shocking injury records or serious attitude problems. In a lot of ways it can be said that the academy was producing the raw material.

Good player at reserve level who score alot of goals but very very very much doubt he can cut it in our first team or any other decent sides, possible even prem league! Good luck to the lad tho but i feel he is destined for championship level! Far to slow!

Fair play to the lad. He needs playing time, and he wont get that at City. He got the attitude to succeed - he need experience. I would rather see him stay and perhaps be loaned out, than seeing him go.

Apparently got a better offer from City in the end than what Twente was offering. Final details of a new contract is being ironed out according to Johns agent. What we do know for certain is that Guidetti is with City partaking in the US tour.

If he can keep his head down, I honestly think he will become really really good player. May it be for us or someone else in future. Clubs offer more than just money to players, we offered a better deal than Twente because being involved in the first team at Manchester City is better than being in the first team at Twente.

Errr.....so it WAS about money since he was willing to agree precontract deal with Twente who offered him initially more money but agreed to stay with us when we offered him the same money and better team. That was my point. If it was just about having more games, he would've and should've left to Twente where he had been third striker. Probably even starter. He'll have to wait for his chance with us.
