no, I'm saying he is very much like American health insurance. Costly and quite often really bad. Good on those occasions when there's not much risks involved.

Ah, the way I read it was that the 20% of people who don't have him don't benefit from him, the ones who only have part of him only benefit partly, and for those who have him completely (for example: us), he does what he is supposed to. If you ask me, it sounds like Stuart Taylor (American health insurance) is well worth having and if you haven't got him (it), or have a watered down version of him (it), you're knackered.

Then again ... when you get hooked up with a company that provides health insurance for you, you've got it pretty good. Where does that leave us with stu taylor?

ive heard rumblings about us looking at Bolton #1 Jaaskelienen (or whatever his name is) now that is contract talks have broken down. Sorenson, as mentioned, would great as well.
also heard that West Brom are looking to sign Kirkland as their #2....

No way Bolton are letting Jussi go on the eve of the season considering they just sold Al Habsi.

I'd say we should try one of Kirkland, Sorensen or Gordon. Experienced and mostly solid keepers who might actually agree to sit on our bench.

Sorensen is the one, no doubt.

Read that we supposedly have/are going to bid 2m for Sorensen...

And every single romanian newspaper.

Placed on the transfer list after the demotion of Timisoara, goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon is close to a separation from Banat group and the most likely destination is Manchester City was, as the sources quoted by Gazeta Sport.

Poly's general manager, Daniel Stanciu, revealed only that it is a strong Premier League club and is more likely to be ceded to England Pantilimon than at Udinese in Italy, which did not submit a tender please Banat.

"There is interest from two large Pantilimon clubs in Europe, Udinese and a club in England, who made a good offer from a financial standpoint, but the long term. We see today what happens next. I can not confirm right now it's Manchester City, can only say that today I received the offer and that in future days to come representatives of the team to discuss the conditions of transfer. I hope that within a few days to make, "said Stanciu, the GSP TV.
(used google trans. because i didn't have the patience to translate everything)

Florin Manea, FIFA agent: "I think the chances are, if there is an offer, it's hard to deny Manchester City. Costel trusts him, he can play on a team of this caliber, expect to resolve the situation, they can go. "

Sorenson....however virtually any American keeper is a good bet so what about Marcus Hahneman who is on a Bosman (I think)...played for Wolves last year.

He looks completely mental and his technique is so unorthodox. Love it. Eccentric keepers ftw.

I don't get this signing at all. What are we trying to get some "obscure goalkeepers collection" with some Faroe lad, this Romanian joker, some midget "future German international" and of course our back up keeper who has played least football out of any professional players.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

According to that one story that did rounds few weeks back, Taylor has played even less.

I wiki'd Bogarde after replying earlier, the guy really was in it just for the money! I found it quite funny!

Guess we're stuck with Costel and Taylor as Sorensen wont be coming,
Frustrated Stoke keeper Thomas Sorensen admits he came close to joining Manchester City this summer.

The Danish shot-stopper slipped out of Tony Pulis' first-team plans last season, with Asmir Begovic often favoured in the Potters' starting XI.

A lack of action forced Sorensen to weigh up his options, with it important for him to be playing regularly at the back end of his career.

The 35-year-old admits it is still his intention to find weekly action, be that at the Britannia Stadium or somewhere else.

A move to City would have seen him switch from one bench to another, with Joe Hart the Blues' number one, but Sorensen admits a transfer to Eastlands did appeal.

In the end, though, nothing came of the discussions and he is once again considering what his next move should be.

On the City link, Sorensen told Sky Sports News: "If a big club is interested, of that size, you can't really look the other way.

"There was negotiations there, but they didn't turn out to anything and I move on.

"When you get to my age, you realise that you will have to end at some point, and that makes it all the more important to keep playing - especially when you have got the motivation and the level as well.

"For me it is important to play, as it has been ever since I started. I have got a year contract there (Stoke), so that's the situation at the moment."
