He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous

He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.
By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Unfortunately there are a few too many in the squad to whom that little passage could apply

He reminds me of a steam train, slow to start but once he gets going there's no stopping him.

Cant believe the shit some people give Yaya. he is a world class player and we are lucky to have him. Perhaps the same people that thought De Jong wasn't up to it when he joined. Some fans always need a scapegoat , even after we have lost a nothing match.

I don't do Biblical, but if I did, it'd probably be the best bible in the world ;-)

If that is the case what the hell is the manager picking him for?

That's a different question, but it's not Yaya's fault if he's picked and played for 90 minutes when not up to it for any reason.

I'm not a big Yaya's fan, as he doesn't put enough into games for me, but he proved his worth at the end of the season. In was hoping he'd really look the part this season, but I expect I'll be back to moaning about him again.

I was just playing devils advocate really. I spoke with Kolo last year about this and he said it wasnt a problem and he has been playing through it ( managing it) for many years now. Not sure it can actually be that easy but at the same time I don't think it should really show itself in games by players tiring.

I am a Yaya fan but recognise he is a bit different to almost any other midfield player around. He suffers in many fans eyes when he doesnt make those surging runs either setting up or scoring goals but there is a little more to his game than that.At Wembley last week there is no mstaking he had a poor game as plenty of others did but I am sure he will be a key figure through the coming season.
