I'd pay that.
We need a class player who can step up, create and score goals if little davy silva gets injured.
God knows if he got crocked atm we'd have a big problem. He's vital.
you'd pay that? i'm guessing you don't have a pot to piss in.
cheers
When I say I'd pay that, I mean the "royal" I as in not me personally but the royal bank of city.
We lack creativity without Silva and I think Nasri is the answer to what could prove to be a major issue across the season, therefore I would break the imaginary bank to get him here.
And no I do not have a pot to piss in but i'm working towards it ;)
i don't really have a pot to piss in either...every time i think i have one, the wife or my kids take it and i'm left in the lurch. It's not even a joke.
mo money. mo problems. FACL.
cheers

Hope we play him where Johnson started on Monday (right in a front three), or that Mancini can actually get him playing through the middle.
I know we need back up for Silva but Nasri was largely anonymous last season as a central mid. Just hope this deal doesn't end up being Milner mk.II

Nasri went missing often, yes, but so did the whole Arsenal team. Clichy included. It was a completely contagious, and unfortunately for Arsenal, degenerative, mentality.
Clichy showed against Swansea that playing in a team full of winners can possibly reinvigorate him. Nasri got away with doing fuck all as there was no tough bastard to whip him into shape at Arsenal. Just a team full of wimps feeling sorry for themselves. Mancini, VK and NDJ won't stand for anything less than 100% and I fully expect him to thrive amongst our squad.

yes thank you, i can read. considering that the post above mine mentioning the figure of 30m was listed in euros, my post was in reference to the aforementioned 30m euros. therefore my post was about the mentioned 30m euros being ridiculous.

For three months he was being spoken of as the best playe in the league. Then it seems his head was turned by some unknown club.

It does seem a bit strange didn't it considering he refused to sign an improved contract early on as well. I reckon a lot of it had to do with Fabregas though, not because he wanted to fill his boots but because he needed to know if he was moving knowing that if he left then there's no way they could be considered a challenging club, or in Arsene's words:
“Imagine the worst situation – we lost Fabregas and Nasri – you cannot convince people you are ambitious after that,”

Looks as though this might be getting sorted finally. Set me thinking about how he would fit in, contrary to supposed wisdom I'm thinking this would actually be a godsend for players like Milner.. taking the pressure off slightly about his own price tag, but more importantly i rekon Nasri's play/style would suit Milner and Barry for that matter.. so ironically rather than being a threat to them he may well prove to be their best link up player. I can even envisage an alternative set up with Nasri, Milner, Barry, AJ with either Dzeko or Mario or Agüero.. to play a more direct style when it suits.
Again this is a player that gives Bob lots of options.. i hope he experiments and uses all of them.

Marwood came from an Arsenal background. Since then we've had Adebayor, Kolo. Taylor, Clichy, & now Nasri, with Vieira also now on the staff.

It's a tenuous link and I'd more put it down to the right players available at the right time with Marwood more aware of what's going at Arsenal.
Most were cast-offs while Nasri, well, do I need to say.

Direct quotes from their chairman so I think we can safely forget about him now.
It'll be interesting to see who/if we had as back up option for that central midfield position.
agreed. I wonder what we're pondering as our next move?
cheers
