Someone told me this on facebook.
is it true?

"Manchester City registered an astonishing 15 shots on target – more than any team managed in any game last season, and more than the combined 13 managed last weekend by the traditional Big Four (Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool). Tip of the hat, then, to the Jacks' new goalkeeper Michel Vorm – but also a word of warning to the rest of the league."

If so, that's not bad.
"only swansea" my arse.

Was sort of expecting negative jealous shit - we will have to get used to that - but this particular bollox really gets on my tits.
City were fucking superb (after about 15mins!) :-) and this is exactly what we should be doing to teams like Swansea - no disrespect intended.
I've known times when I would have been shitting meself at the thought of them turning us over in shock defeat but was never in any doubt this time round.
We have sent the message that we are serious about winning the league and we have to continue treating the "smaller" teams like this and banging in a hatful of goals against them. Fuck them - if we have the opportunity to score 5, 6, or even 7 then we should be taking it.
1-0, 2-0 wins against the scum, tottingham, scouse, the arse etc will be realistic and certainly feasible and together with "big" wins against strugglers and weaker teams should hopefully put an end to the "yeah but it was only xxx".

what do you think?

Yea I agree with you JG , would have been a completely different write up if the rags had defeated them in the same way we would never hear the last of it

The truth is that every media type wannabe Taggart arselicker wanted us to lose. They've tipped us for 2nd in the main which I can only put down to them having a modicum of intelligence when they look at our squad, for fuck sake, one paper run with the story that Mancini was the weak link even before we kicked a ball. After the CS certain individuals were rubbing their hands and with the first 20 minutes of the Swansea game had them salivating at the thought of us not getting a score against the 'Lowly Swansea'. You could see the David and Goliath/Rich against Poor stories already being written before the 1st half had ended.

However, we showed an almost unbelievable attitude and panache that they didn't want to see, and definately not what they wanted to report. Instead, it's much easier to talk about how well the 'Under-dogs' did against the runners-up in the league, even if it is after only one game.

Imo, a side containing Dzeko, Silva, AJ has 3 forwards in it. They track back, but they are attackers tracking back. The question then was; did Bob tell the rest to sit back. Imo, we were less forward thinking in the 80th min v the likes of Birmingham last season than we were in the 15th v Swans.

We were rusty, which I suppose you could criticise Bob for, but that cleared after 20 mins. He pushed Yaya right up & when we scored he brought on Aguero. We won 4-0.

As a fully fledged member of the Rodney Marsh, Mark Hughes 'I love to attack' society, I can't find one iota of negativity in what Bob did v Swansea.
