Wigan 0-1 City

Goal by Zabaleta. Dunne to get a red card in the beginning of the second half and Zaki to miss a sitter.

Nah, seriously:

Wigan 1-3 City

Ade, Ireland, Swp

1-0 to City

Bramble
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Put this one down as a 'win' when we did the 'next 5 games' thread (anyone keeping track?), although it does make me a little nervous for some reason.

Will go for 2-1 to City, with Ade getting both.

With just reason, this game puts the shits up me everytime I see the fixture date. I'm hoping for a very convincing win, but my heart is telling me otherwise and that it will be a very difficult game, especially if we go down to 10 men!!! However:

I'm not making a prediction 'cos I never do with City but its interesting that the win at home - lose away mindset of old seems to be dissapearing nowerdays and with good reason given the talent we have in the squad nowerdays!
Still, I guess the old 'typical City' is starting to become a thing of the past.
if the start to the season, with players who are still getting to know each others attributes on matchday is anything to go by we should do well and I will be gutted to lose this one.
it will be a lot closer than most of the predictions on here!

I hope you're lucky Slim.
As an 'old timer' its shedding the mental grip from seasons past that we win at home and underacheive away from home.
I think this is the season when we do this, and as i think the mental attitude probobly bears as heavy as the skill we have in the squad, if this can be overcome we may well Overaceive and lay the past seasons demons to rest to some tune!
Without doubt we will win honours in the coming years but the danger is if it doesn't come soon enough there may be a backlash which could see us back to square one and starting over.
IMO the owners have it exactly right in sticking by MH ! What we don't need to do is asume is we'll win everything within 5 minutes.
The finacial might of our owners + the correct coaching skills of our staff will, without doubt bring the glory days we all crave & it wont be fucking long so hold onto your hats and enjoy the ride!

Usually I've always predicted a disappointing result but now times have changed! ... I'm going for a draw, 1-1. Bramble and SWP.

Me too, it's only 55 squids, but after the heart break of my 6 game accumulator being fucked by taggart I will have to get inspired to put another big bet together.

It's going to be another tricky away day, but if we score early like against Blackburn (and others) we'll be fine. I think it will be tight, probably a draw at half time, but we'll have enough to break them down in the end.

I'll say: Wigan 0-1 City (Barry)
