Tevez has moved his family over

Carlos Tevez has changed his mind about wanting to leave Manchester City, according to Roberto Mancini.

The Blues' manager claimed Tevez, who wanted to leave City to be closer to his family in Argentina, has now been joined in Manchester by his wife and two daughters.

With just five days left before the transfer window closes, Mancini said he was confident Tevez would remain at City.

He added the £62million double signing of Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri may have also persuaded the Argentinian to stay at City for one more season.

Carlos is working well,” said Mancini. “He’s not fit, because he has only been working for two weeks.

“But a player who sees these good players arriving in this good team, after we won the FA Cup last year, will maybe think, 'We can win the title this year.'

"His family is here [as well]. For Carlos, it’s always been about family reasons. If his family is here, he can stay. This is a good moment for this club. Carlos is one of the best players we have.”

After finally sealing the protracted £24m capture of Nasri from Arsenal, signing Aguero and with Tevez now looking like staying, Mancini claimed he now has a squad capable of challenging on all fronts.

“I think so,” said the Italian. “We have started very well and hopefully that will continue.

“When we start the Champions League it will be very difficult but now we have the players.

"We are a top club in Europe. We don’t have a big history of titles, but every player wants to come here.

“We want to improve on last year. and have a big chance.”

Mancini said the extra demands on City, in their debut Champions League campaign, meant accommodating all his players would not be a problem for him.

“If Carlos stays, we have four strikers,” he added. “And we will need them all.

“In October, we play Champions League against Villarreal then, on the Sunday, Manchester United.

“In December, it is Bayern Munich [in midweek], then [on the weekend] Chelsea.”
"I scored after 19 minutes a "bluemoon" goal - David White picked it up, he saw me standing alone, he crossed and I hammered it home. The moon had turned gold"

With eachpassing day it looks more like he's staying. I've not dared to hope but it's starting to sound good.

I know he's uPset a lot of you, but were better off with him in the squad than not. That said I do think he should fight for a strting spot now, which acts the last two seasons seems amazing.
Tracking back is overrated.

Even though i do think he's a twat for the way he's acted, Lee's right id rather have him with us than loose him.

I really don't know it's like fucking groundhog day with Tevez and the media.I suppose i have got to the stage where i just want a resolution to the issue.

I'm sick of such reports if he goes he goes and if he stays i think he will do his absolute best as simply he knows no other way.
Just do not feel he deserves to walk straight back in to the team if hes still with us in September.

That said i still think he has completely shafted us with his comments and his desire to leave being publicised so often.I'm sure his issues could just as easily have been discussed behind closed doors especially with him being the club captain. As a city fan the whole scenario has been a bit of a kick in the teeth.

If he stays, and his wife and kids actually do come over (remains to be seen) I would, ideally, like to see him apologise to us - especially about his comments about the city of Manchester. It may not be the absolute most desirable city in the world to live in but it's my city and I don't like it being slagged off by some thick fucker who has gotten rich out of it.

What makes me sick is how quickly these people (footballers and others) become immune from reality.

What does he actually mean when he criticises Manchester : is he comparing it to how the wealthy live in Buenes Aires? if he is then maybe the well to do of Argentina have it good. But if he's comparing Manchester to Buenes Aries like for like ...... one of them is a poverty ridden shithole, and it's not Manchester.

So if hes stayin putt...Do you think Mancini will play him with Aguero as our main strike force or do you think he will rotate the two with playing alongside more of a target man, ala Balo or Dzeko? Im confused.

Fook knows Kladze! At 27 he's only got 4 years at his peak..Its not exactly gonna disrupt and have a negative effect on his family long term if they live here for the remainder of his contract....Hes a fookin puppet for that Kia gimp..He should sack him off.

I think we have sufficient depth now if he were to leave and it might make our lives a little easier to see the back of him, but he is just so talented that Tevez with Aguero off his shoulder, flanked by Nasri and Silva....wet dreams are made of these.

damn, i feel sorry for dzeko. he's likely going to be the one to get the shaft from tevez's "change of heart"...surely aguero will play more in the prem overall just due to his price tag and skill (assuming he doesnt flop). it sucks because dzeko appears to have finally gotten his mind right and is playing well on the pitch, scoring in every game this season so far. whereas balotelli hasnt done much to warrant being chosen ahead of dzeko or tevez (like i think dzeko has).

mancini has an interesting problem on his hands with the rotations. sure we're in lots of comps. and have lots of games close to one another but these "star players" will want to be in the big competitions like the champs lg and the prem and mancini simply wont be able to please them all. great problem to have tbf but we'll see how it shapes up over the year....

I think he showed his hand at Bolton. Dzeko and Kun as a partnership or Tevez by himself.
