No apology will be needed if he returns to his workrate of last year. I'm not too worried about Dzeko getting left out we have an additional 10 matches this year for him to play in.

It hits a nerve with me to mate.......These players are on a fortune and setup for life because of us...They should embrace Manchester and feelin the love from the fans is enough for them to stay...Its a nice place if you want it to be..Fook the hot climates and beaches We are Man City the best club in the world.

What makes me sick is how quickly these people (footballers and others) become immune from reality.

What does he actually mean when he criticises Manchester : is he comparing it to how the wealthy live in Buenes Aires? if he is then maybe the well to do of Argentina have it good. But if he's comparing Manchester to Buenes Aries like for like ...... one of them is a poverty ridden shithole, and it's not Manchester.

That's one of the things that's always weird about these people moaning about Manchester. They come from shitty fucking favelas and then have decency to moan about extremely nice and modern European City. There are some rough areas in Manchester but I've walked on my own numerous times in Moss Side when we were still in Maine Road and I'm pretty sure it's fucking garden of Eden compared to South American favelas.

Also, I fucking hate it when people like Tevez slag off Manchester when he has done ZERO effort to learn language and get used to his surroundings. What the fuck does he know about Manchester and Mancunians when he can't even talk with anyone?

Also, even during the years I've been going to Manchester, the City has changed dramatically and Manchester is genuinely extremely interesting and nice modern city that has still managed to mostly keep it's northern roots intact. There's absolutely no basis for the crap you've received from loads of these players.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Even the supposedly rough areas are pretty decent compared to yesteryear.

Good post that Antti....I fully agree.

I've lived in a few places in the UK and overseas. Sure I've been to better cities than Manchester but where has Carlos lived....Fuerte Apache, Sao Paulo, East fucking London and Manchester. It's a bit rich to single out Manc for the abuse. It's all bullshit though as, as you rightly say, the reason the fucktard doesn't feel at home is because he has made piss all effort.

Zabba by his own admission had quite a nice upbringing in Argentina....he doesn't struggle as he's not as thick as two short planks. Silva comes from a holiday island....no mither.

I mean, credit to the lad, but even Joleon Lescott doesn't pine and moan about missing Birmingham

He's already moved them over according to the Telegraph etc.

To me 4 strikers is not too many for the season we have ahead, even if we only play one up front sometimes. I've said it before, but I'm sure Mancini had 6 at Inter in his title teams. Guidetti doesn't count to me - is he off to Holland?

The last time mancini told the media tevez was staying tevez came out and rubbished him, I hope this isn't a poor effort from bobby to put pressure on tevez by telling the media his family are here, thereby forcing tevez to rethink his strategy as he can no long use the "family" card.

Not sure he needs to apologise for speaking his mind but some sort of statement wouldn't go amiss. He's made plenty about wanting to leave. Why not one about wanting to stay?

exactly a nice statement of staying would be good just to piss off the press,
but he would have to mean it.

So Joorabchian has released his family then ? Good news indeed.

If El Thicko stays, we have the best attacking options in the world bar none imo, apart from the fact that Barca have one player in Messi who is probably worth 4 players!

There's also Ronaldo & one or two others you could make a case for but barring David Villa, the blokes next to them are not even in the same league as Tevez & Aguero imo. Add Silva & Nasri to that, then look at the way Dzeko has started. Balotelli COULD be as good as any of them. Then look at the way Milner played in the final 3rd v Bolton (he has a similar number of assists to Ryan Giggs over the last few years btw) AJ came on & left their defender for dead like it was a practice game; nobody has that depth of talent.

This is something very very special & it is finally taking the attacking shape we all dreamed of when the Sheikh took over Gawd blessim..

Dead right Ted. That's why I've expressed my surprise a few times at the lack of ambition being shown by many of our fans.

I hope the plans for the Etihad campus include a statue of the Sheikh, preferably a solid gold one.

It is pretty fuclin obvious that Tevez is about as clever as a vegetable off the pitch and tbh the only thing worth being bothered about is how well he plays and how he now fits into the attack. Unless you have a weakness for Hello Magazine type things then the saga is over. City don't need Tevez like they did, but he can still be one of the best footballers in the world at City, get your head round it and get used to it and while he pulls on the shirt get behind him. I couldn't care if only eats imported argentine government brand corned beef everyday in a darkened room cos he cant find a restaurant; as long as he performs for City on the pitch and doesn't get in the way of the development of the rest of the team.

As for Mancini, the saga is over too.. he is intelligent and practical so he will use Tevez where when and how he wants, he will imo also make sure that players like Dzeko, Kun, Silva, Milner, Nasri, AJ and Mario get the development attention from him and the priority if in practical terms they are performing as expected.

I like the fact that Bob has pretty much said Tevez is here for the season. I was concerned, not that Tevez would fail, but that he'd be fucking brilliant in this team & then bugger off at Christmas, leaving us feeling a bit deflated. Bob mentioned he can go next summer if he still wants to, which in my book means he's going nowhere at Christmas.

The club sells alcohol, I don't think a statue would offend him.

I'm sure everyone will just focus on practicalities... and if there is one thing I'm finding myself trusting Mancini with it is dealing with players in the longer term, it will be interesting how Bob uses Tevez, i have a sneaky feeling he will look to get the maximum out of him while not letting him steal the show. There is much team moulding to be done this season while competing on 4 fronts, for Bob i think this is a critical season in his shaping of things to come so he will be imo very mindful of that process and not want certain dynamics to hinder the longer term. It is a balance with practicalities, but one i'm pretty sure he will make sure is weighted the way he wants it.
