Premier League 17/10/09

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Premier League 17/10/09

Postby Slim » Sat Oct 17, 2009 11:08 am

Aston Villa v Chelsea, 12:45
Arsenal v Birmingham, 15:00
Everton v Wolverhampton, 15:00
Man Utd v Bolton, 15:00
Portsmouth v Tottenham, 15:00
Stoke v West Ham, 15:00
Sunderland v Liverpool, 15:00

Bunch of good games today with the early game being an obvious highlight. Sunderland v Liverpool should be entertaining as the Mackems have been in very good form this season so far. With any luck Pompey, Bolton and Birmingham can do us a favour, but I wouldn't be holding my breath.

I hope Sunderland win more than any of the rest if I had to pick one.

Liverpool are there for the taking I tells ya.... I tells ya I does.

He's got 5 this season(11 games in), but North Queensland are still bottom of the table.

I'd say there is a decent chance that both Chelsea and especially Liverpool will drop points this weekend. Here's hoping.

Unfortunately can't see Arse or rags dropping points tho.

And dear god it's great that the international break is over!

Fist 15 minutes, still 0-0 but Villa having the majority of the running. Agbonlahor looks a handful.

whisky tasting? yr so cultured. Any lapdances with that?

Some good matches, and i agree with Slim about Mackems. Strangely, same thing could be said about Wigan last season, and i'm starting to believe Elephant Man is a pretty decent manager with a great eye for affordable talent and creating team chemistry. Sadly. Can't argue with the facts tho.

this weekend is a tricky one for us. These are the matches we need 3 pts from to stay in the mix -- Away at a team that's had our number over the last 4 seasons more often than not. These are the types of matches which Arsenal and Scouse have fucled up in recent years which has ruined their title aspirations. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Scum almost always get max pts from. We need to do likewise.

Bruce is a very good manager, I don't know who had you thinking otherwise. Very disciplined sides and always gets value for money from his players. I really like Sunderland and hated it when that Pikey was there and I wanted them to fail, now I wouldn't hate them bucking the order for a European spot.
