platt

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

platt

it wont be popular. Or insightful. But i love the interview on the OS post-Spurs. Again he is saying the right stuff and has a pragmatic focus which i think is important for our side.

I want to go on record as saying i think he loves working for CITY and thats all i can ask from him.

Cheers

There does seem to be some correlation with him joining and us changing our way of play. Did he have a word in Roberto's shell like?

After seeing his joy of beating the Rags I am now able to tolerate him but will never forget the shit diatribe's he spouted about us prior to joining.

While he's with us he's a Blue, after that, then we'll see.

He got involved when the RAGs tried their sour grapes bollox at Wembley, so respect for that. I can tolerate him I guess.

I posted the same thing last night on another thread....was a good interview. He went up in my estimation when he got involved against the scum and then for his celebration here

I can understand why lots don't like him still. He is a bit of a cunt....but he's our cunt now and I think it likely that Platt and Kiddo play quite a valuable role in our set-up. Be interested to hear from Dougalarse what roles they both play at training.....Kidd looks quite hands on from videos I've seen on the OS

I agree with that. And he's always done a good interview for us, despite some of the mindless drivel posted against him last season. One of the many 'poor manager, excellent coach' people in the game.

Whilst Platt and Kidd are involved a lot with the training there is no doubt who runs the show and dictates what happens. When they are doing warm up routines both of them are hands on explaining what is expected, always cajoling, praising etc etc whilst Mancini watches closely but when it comes to football stuff within training it's all Mancini.

That's sort of the tip of the iceberg as so much will go on inside in the planning of what they set out to do in training. On fitness related work the sports science guys with Ivan Carminati will have a big say and ,touch wood, they seem to know what they are doing. On pure football work I expect it will be Mancini lead but with input from the other 2.
