the sentence ravaged with it was written by nedums mum, in her letter.

Dr Onuoha sent an email to Marwood and copied in Cook. Cook sees Marwood's name on the email and assumes that his colleague has FORWARDED him an email from Dr Onuoha. He hits reply (not reply to all) thinking he's sending his quip to Marwood, but he's actually replying to the original sender, Dr Onuoha.
If there's a perfectly innocent explanation, fair enough. But this looks like a colossal fuck up. I suspect, with some regret, that he's said "how are ya, brother?" for the last time.

For all I'm sure that he has done a lot of good work behind the scenes he has also embarrassed the club on a number of occasions and along with his crony Marwood seems to regularly be upsetting players. Time to say goodbye

Glad someone else brought that up- this is one of the things that struck me about the letter. If you're well enough to conduct business, you're well enough. If not, get someone else to conduct it. Although it's poor form by Cook to (accidentally) reply in this way, I get the feeling that Mrs/Dr Onouha may have been over-emphasising her illness in negotiations, provoking such a remark from Cook to (intended for) Marwood.
However, for him to lay the blame at someone else's feet is very, very poor form. He should accept he made a mistake and apologise. I, for one, don't have any respect for someone who weasels their way out of a situation by lying, and I doubt people who are more senior at the club will, either.

"Ravaged with it!!......I don't now how you sleep at night. You used to be such a nice man when I worked with you at nike (sic)."
Lev Bronstein wrote:I don't blame her for being angry. The "ravaged" word is an obvious reference to the content of an earlier email from Nedum's mum. If Nedum was at a school, and the senior staff were saying such things about a pupils mum, then people would expect sackings.
As for her response, it may seem over the top, but that's irrelevent.
As for the timing, let's put it another way. City have had 11 months to resolve the matter to Dr. Onouha's satisfaction and it seems they haven't. If they have and Custis is flying an out of date kite, then I would expect some comment from either City or Nedum's mum. Failing that, if someone had done that to me I'd let it out in such a way to cause the maximum effect.
If Cooke's email account has been hacked by another member of staff, I would expect them to be sacked - after all, what would happen to any of us if we hacked our boss's email account and sent embarassing messages?
And if Cooke did send the message, it looks like he's compounded the offence by falsely saying that his account had been hacked. You'd expect a government minister to go.
Sorry Gary, it's not looking good.

I love that term of abuse 'Berk'... Apologies to both of you, but it's so much better than some of the other abuse that gets bandied around on here. Especially the stuff eminating from the Southern Hemisphere.....
