The part I quoted you berk ;-)

I love that term of abuse 'Berk'... Apologies to both of you, but it's so much better than some of the other abuse that gets bandied around on here. Especially the stuff eminating from the Southern Hemisphere.....

Oh aren't you clever, are you trying to refer to myself and Carl or just me? If it's just me, then why not just say it? And if you mean me and Carl, do you know where Mexico is?

I thought he was talking about Dazby...

I just really don't like them, wasn't he one of the idiots who thought it was a good idea to play some premier league games overseas?

What are some of our fans like. The club is on the cusp of greatness and people hate the people in charge but they dont know why. Go and have a head wobble and when you can think of a reason as to what they are doing is hurting our club then maybe you have cause to hate but whilst the playing staff have improved the facilities have improved and the commercial deals have improved please give them some credit!!!!!

Being taken seriously. interesting to see what come of it. I won't be too sad if Cook leaves, and it might give Roberto more influence @ the club, which I think would be great

I'm a big fan of Cooky. As has already been said many times in this thread, his record in helping boost teh commercial side of the club is fantastic. I also love teh way he can be so bullish with teh media - I think his style in that respect really suits the club.

However, all that aside and notwithstanding the curious timing and potential agenda against Cooky, IF he has sent that email, then I think that he has to go. Any sarcasm aimed at someone suffering with cancer is unacceptable and can only be considered offensive - it's a horrible condition. Even worse IF there has been an attempt to cover up.

I really hope he hasn't done it - we don't need anything disrupting the progress we are making on and off the pitch.

Time to say goodbye

I agreed with the 1st part - I.e. 'reply all' bit - but (IMO) the rest is shallow and the stuff of redtops - those with an agenda against CITY.

So Cook hasn't made at least half a dozen very public gaffs? And he also didn't have a fall out with Tevez? As I said on the business side of things he has done a really good job but on the PR side of the equation he is a train wreck

Do we know that he definitely had a fall out with Tevez or were those the words of his agent after Cooky was involved in the decision not to offer Carlos a new contract?

If the allegations are true & Cook really did

- send the text
- tried to cover it up with a pathetic "someone hacked my e-mail" excuse

he did fail at his job as the club's CEO, damaging the club's public image in the process. Such unprofessional behaviour should have consequences. I'm not standing blindly by his side just because he's an employee of MCFC, neither am I doing the opposite as long as I don't have the facts. It's all a bit iffy with the timing & Kia slimeballs involvement & whatnot, so I wouldn't want to jump to a conclusion yet, but Cook acting like an oaf wouldn't surprise me either.

Clearly the Anti City brigade, galvanised by Joorabi, the football version of Murdoch, either have agents within OR have planted something. Onouha's beef was clear at Supporters Club meetings prior to the Soccer AM thingy. Is he a pawn in a bigger game? Possibly.

I agree with Lyons07; Cooke comes across to me as a smarmy snivelling little fucker who would sell his own grandmother. I think its hard to judge his business credentials from his time at City as he's had so many advantages here. If he was at any other club he would be universally disliked. Don't let the blue tinted glasses affect your judgement of character.

I've no doubt that the timing of all this is to do with some power struggle or other. I also greatly admire the work Cooke has done for the club. But, his wouldn't be the first glittering career to be ruined by an act of stupidity.

As far as I'm concerned if he's guilty then he goes. City can't afford to be seen to be soft on this sort of thing, it undermines all the work we are doing in the community, tarnishes our reputation, and reveals an unprofessional streak within the management.

On another note, when are people going to realise that much of what they say and do could easily end up in the public domain and behave accordingly.

Well seeing as Cook joined us after the whole 39th game issue was put to bed, I don't think that was the case.

So you hate Cook and Marwood as much as Fergie because you 'really just don't like them'? Good reasons...

I think Cook has done well from a business perspective, which is exactly what he was brought in to do. He has made a few gaffes in the past but nothing so serious, in my opinion, that he warrants City fans to 'hate' him, and put him on par with Fergie. Admittedly, if this Onohua story turns out to be true then he could find himself in some hot water as a man in his position cannot be sending emails like that. Although I'll await to see what the outcome is of the club's investigation into the matter rather than just go along with what is printed in The Sun.
