Can only applaud that. Shakey just after 2nd half, but dominant in the 1st and towards the end. If results like that against teams like Wigan and going to be our bread and butter this season, we will be right up there. All depends on how well we cope with the Champs League mid week, and Sunday away fixtures.

Besides the obvious standouts, I have to say I am so very impressed with our wingbacks today, how both Clichy (more from crossing) and Micah (more from everything) were involved a lot and threatening (not too mention the other two defenders -- the fact Lescott should have had a hat trick, and Kompany's brilliant ball to AJ late in the match).

By the way, Capello really needs new glasses if he thinks Smalling is even in the same class as Richards, it is like, boy v man with those two in comparison.
