Napoli tickets/New Online sales

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Re: Napoli tickets/New Online sales

I bought 3 tickets for Wigan up in the East stand. First I bought 2 aisle seats for me and my eldest, then I realised the younger one was home from the army and went to buy another.

By the time I bought the 3rd, the seat next to ours had been bought so I got the 4th one in. No sign of anyone at the match though. Now there could be several reasons, but I thought a single seat quite odd in the first place, and now I suspect it was one of the first wave of Napoli fans who may have bought a Wigan ticket in order to buy a Napoli one, before they put the 70 points thing in.

Maybe.

It will be a full house and will be rocking.

Its a school night and MANY people have just got back and had one payday since their summer holidays, we are not all billionairse and some of us have to watch the spend.

I`m with you WW. I will go for 47,401.

The first two rows of the stands are lost due to advertising perimeter boards - according to Official website. They usually do that at all English grounds. So capacity will be reduced a bit by that and then segregation. Reckon attendance will 46,200 which will be basically capacity after taking those things into consideration.

Level 2 front 2 rows are allocated to Sponsors. The Lounges are also being given to UEFA.

Did you mean Knocking out, we are playing Napoli, who love to get into the home supporters end.

Yes it does rather sound like an idea that may be frowned upon to say the least by Greater Manchester Police!

Yet somehow we used to manage for all those years at Maine Rd, without ID cards or anything, & few police to protect us. I can't think how we did it, especially against big scarey Italians. Woooo.

Maine Road was scary on a night match for home fans and the Police, gives me the shivers thinking about Big matches midweek at Maine Rd.

Anyone on here amongst those walking back to Piccadilly after the cup winners cup semi against Chelsea? - that was a little bit 'fiesty' - part of memories but not what the GMP want to have to handle nowadays

So you think there will be empty seats tomorrow night just because people are too lazy to prebook their tickets??

I'm not going as I can't afford to go to football anymore. Is this allowed?

I agree with the original point as well, if you could turn up and pay on the day, you could fill our stadium twice over tomorrow.

wtf has it got to do with you????

as it happens, i spent an hour trying to ring this morning with no success so i'm now going to watch the game on me own couch with a few cans and a nice veggie curry, and save myself a few bob in the process.

i will however be at the carling cup game against brum. if you could pm me and let me know where i rate fandom-wise that'd be great, if you can reach your keyboard from atop your massive horse that is.

jeez.

Blimey Arjan, you feeling guilty.

The point I was trying to make was that we all make choices in life. I have to forego plenty of things to take me and my son to the games, but I put city ahead of other things I would like as well. doesn't go down particularly well with the rest of the family either !

I will be gutted if we don't get full houses for the early CL games. I think it would reflect really badly on the club. I don't know about KInkys circumstances, and I apologise if I was out of order, but I do believe that for most people it is a choice.

Ps - I could have guessed you were a veggie!

The ticket office really needs to get it's shit together and quickly. They are a shambles, took us half a day to book 3 tickets by telephone. Last time I'm going through that shit for cup games, wouldn't be surprised if we missed out on plenty of potential sales.
Don't understand, the club has spent fortunes on the team so why is it so difficult to purchase tickets?

In my opinion since the club went to a free phone number its been a nightmareb to get through. When they charged you for the call, there was no issues.

The only people who are whinging are the one who are leaving to to the last minute, we also have the cup scheme, get organised and all is well with the world. Also, I prefer the 0161 number it means I can ring it and use my free minutes :-)

haha, very true. unfortunately i always have to wait til the last minute and trying to give city some money on this occasion has proved impossible, and that's a bit daft.

What the fuck are you talking about!?

The 2 posts you quoted are about being able to buy tickets on the day of the match. Nobody mentioned the ability to afford a ticket!

Rang up last night to try and get a ticket on my mates card (ive given mine to my dad and immediately regretted it).

They said i couldnt have one as its a maximum of 6 tickets per season card.

He hasnt even bought ONE on that season card. The ticket office is an absolute joke, so now i'm going to have to travel to the ground from Preston, in the hope that theyre going to give me at least one of these mystery 6 tickets which havent been paid for by anyone.

Dont get me wrong, a free mystery ticket would be nice, but i'd rather pay and feel safe in the knowledge that i've got myself sorted.

Disgruntled.

I booked mine well in advance, online & I'm not exaggerating when I say I needed to go through the process something like 20 times. I'd choose 2 seats, get the map up for the third & as I selected it, the fucking system logged me out, I'd have to log in & start again; IF IT WOULD LET ME. I posted earlier that it took me 45 mins but thinking about it now, it was more like 90. I actually went & made a coffee & took a break to calm down.

It was on its last chance when it actually worked, I was going to e-mail the club & tell them they'd lost 3 fans for the night. I may not seem like it on here, but in real life circumstances I have the ability to remain calm & rational better than most people. I was on the verge of going fucking postal, so God knows how many people less patient than me have chucked it.

I'm not going to the next game if it does it again. I'm not having these people wasting my fucking time with their incompetence.
