How will last night effect our league form?

Four straight league wins and four impressive performances, a team and fans brimming with confidence.
We may have been travelling to Fulham in full battle cry had it not been for last night.

Will there be changes? I imagine so. I imagine there would have been anyway.
But will that self-belief be replaced by a more nervous, maybe more circumspect performance? and how will us fans react if it is: and we lose?

I think we have got to be very careful not to overdue this rotation thing going on...the season has only just begun so the players are still fresh and so should be able to handle 2 games on the trot now and again..............hindsight is great but I was still a little pissed off Richards and Clichy didnt start the game.

I just hope Mancini doesnt tinker too much with a winning formula.

There was no reality check. We played an excellent side with the second best defence in the most defensive league in the world... in the champions league... and we drew a game that we probably deserved to win overall.

Was it a reality check for Inter? For United? For Arsenal? No, it was typical champions league stuff.

Anyway, back to the prem - we'll take Fulham apart because we are the best team in England.

I called it a reality check straight after the game last night, see the match thread I think - didn't need the newspapers.

Our performance last night was nervous, and uncontrolled nerves manifest themselves in many different ways - for our players it made us overeager and impatient. It could now be that those nerves might now follow us to West London and manifest negatively in some other way.

I hope you are totally right and that it's 'business as usual'.

I actually don't mind Lescott but he definitely was drawn to the ball for their goal. Split second decision, and he made the wrong one.

Hopefully last night will give them a kick up the backside. We weren't bad but Silva, Nasri etc didn't play anywhere near to the level they can. It was our first real test and at times we lacked ideas. We have done well this season but I keep telling people nto to get carried away because we haven't played a good side in the league yet. And Spurs are a good side, don't be so ridiculous. They finished 5th in the league and beat the two Milan teams. They were also unbeaten at home for something like 18 games before we beat them as well.

And while I'm at it, stop telling everyone that you keep telling everyone what to do.

We need to be careful we don't wear Silva out, he was looking tired in the second half - even if it means putting one of the EDS lads on the bench for Fulham and taking Silva off after an hour. Bob has a habbit of leaving players on the pitch for entire games when they really shouldn't be there (I remember him doing it to Milner, Yaya and Vieira last season off the top of my head, probably a few more examples if I thought about it for a bit)

Because we've achieved nothing so far, it's stupid to get so giddy. Because last night we just couldn't break them down.

You're judging our side based on ability, there's so much more than that. Last season, player for player we were as good if not better than United. It's about the mental attitude aswell- the ability to dig out last minute winners. In fact when was the last time we got a late late winner?

I was watching our attacking unit in particular last night & there's no doubt in my mind that Silva & Aguero were less athletic than you would normally expect. They both looked 'leggy' to me. I'd add Nasri to that but it's the 1st time I've seen him in the flesh for 90 mins so I only have tv v Spurs to go on & that only shows 25% of the picture. Imo seeing him in the flesh & watching his (lack of) running when we lost the ball, his workrate was nowhere near good enough to fit into that formation; the much maligned AJ did a far far better job v Wigan than Nasri did v Napoli.
