Bollocks. I will pay my housemate (Bosnian 3rd league) to wear one for a game just to prove this wrong. Health and safety it may be in Britain (there may be a kiddy fiddler hiding in the creases at the end of the day), but I will eat my hat if it's banned at 'all levels' everywhere.

Snoods banned on health and safety grounds that they can choke players.

I think we should design a "Vnood" A Velcro neck warmer, works same way as a snood, but fastens using velcro. If it gets yanked the velcro will open up.
Market these to footballers, tell them it's a legal way to get around the Snood rule, and sell them massively overpriced. We could make a small fortune.
