Quality stuff there, thoroughly enjoyed that.

i want to know how a "black" poster can start a thread????

loved purely man city mate - where's it gone? i know it's back up now but you not carrying on with that too?

if i was interviewing you i'd have to say you're lacking commitment... :)

Yep, I am the Adebayor of City bloggers.

Actually, a lot of the stuff on the new site will bring things right up to the present day. For instance, I've written a piece about the history of football reporting which goes into why it's so poor nowadays. I'm also thinking about having a 'best of the talkboards' section each week (partly after listening to GMR's poor stab at it last Tuesday).

haha fair do's mate - we all think that we can write a bit otherwise we wouldn't be on here - but it takes big balls to put yourself out there.

be prepared for the odd critique tho :)

Site looks brilliant.

Would you consider opening a companion Twitter account to send out updates when a new blog post is up?

Incidentally, how much was the paper article off ebay worth?

Ha ha. I reckon if you stick to picking up on threads that are less than 6 months old you'll do ok!

Yep, I couldn't believe it when I heard that reference to you. What they term in football a "schoolboy error".

dazby,
Actually, old magazines and newspapers are worth very little (thankfully).

Now, another interesting item I picked up on ebay is a recording of two matches between City and Newcastle from around 1914. It's the old 78 format and I haven't worked out how to make a digital recording of it to put online, so if anyone knows how to do it please let me know.

I've just read the story of why Gorton AFC wore Maltese Crosses. A brilliantly researched and educational piece!

I think it would be a good idea if from now on all requests to join this site and/or/maybe be allowed to post a topic you must answer 20 questions about City.....does not matter if they look up the answers......I think its a good idea.

Thanks for the plug KingKev.

Currently finishing off part one of my Chesters Thompson piece for tomorrow. Hopefully it will show that not only do we have history but we also played a part in shaping it.

Cheers for the link BlueinBosnia.
