How, exactly? 'Just in case' they score?

Because in tight games, often the difference can be someone pulling off a piece of magic, inspiration etc. Eg Rooney against us. And whose more likely to pull such a thing off? Dzeko is a one trick pony, he does that trick very well but if teams cut off the supply to him from wide areas he's useless.

Do you watch the games with your eyes closed? Almost every comment from you is completely clueless and I'm starting to wonder whether you're taking the piss or not. Your opinion of a player seems to change depending only on their last game. Makes me think you banged your head and have only short term memory. Incase you missed our games this season, look at some of the videos online (excuse the music):

He's been poor in all but a handful of games. I'll stand by that.

yap but that why we have that midfild and backs u see when he get the ball in head in 16 area he will score but since totenhem he got mayne 3 decent ball insade i dont say he s good of fotball he is messi but hes not shit u all see that and after 3 games it iss u knoe hanry when he come to arsenal didnt score for 11 game i think , tores have biger problems then dzeko but i dont see in chealse sombody calling him shit player its our player for me there is only one shit player Tevez and that is not abaut the game

Last season, he was off-the-boil, but also our lineup wasn't drilled to play any tactic other than "pass it to Tevez".

This season, he's been Premier League Player of the Month for August.

He was dropped for the next match.

He then played okay-ish against Napoli (better than Aguero in my opinion).

Against Fulham, he set up one of Aguero's goals, and overall played relatively well.

He then missed the next game.

The game after, City couldn't counteract Everton's tactics, with the ball being played on the ground too much, giving Everton time to crowd the box, and rendering our attacking options null and void.

Against Bayern he was poor, but not the poorest player on the pitch.

I'd say there were two (possibly three) below-par (ie below a score of 7/10) performances there, out of eight games played.

Bang on.

BRF you dont have a clue mate. I thought you'd at least gone someway to redeeming yourself on the subject when you admitted that you got it wrong after dzeko had the best start to the season out of every single player in the entire league, but now you're at it again?!!

You're a joker. Not worth arguing over this again when you've already been proved wrong and admitted so.

dzeko has been very good this season and is starting to find his feet. He was starting to get on a role and build up his confidence in the team, and ended up being in and out of the starting lineup in the last couple of games, which can affect your form. But beyond that, I don't think it's always a good idea to be swapping out players from the team. You get used to the runs a certain striker makes, you get used to where they will be and when you are really in sync, there is no hesitation everything happens by instinct.

I'm not saying that a player will forget who is playing alongside him, but it takes a bit of natural flow out of your play, as every single player has their own individual style.

when dzeko gets a solid run in the team, he performs. Superbly. I have no worries about his quality or how he will do for us long term. Amazing signing for us, and a striker that any of the big teams in the world would love to have.

I'm glad that someone noticed that even inappropriate hatred this guy has for his team player DZeko, just waiting for chances to play poor game to shit abaut him and look how much , BRF I think you is now clear that, although perhaps not played well last game and no one played well a lot of fans have their trust in him ...and just that u know , no player in the world play evry game good
