Speaking to Sky Sports, Tevez said: "Those are decisions which he makes and I agree with that. It's just I have been professional up until now. I was the top goalscorer last season so I don't think I deserve this treatment.
"Yes I wanted to leave. I asked to leave because I had family problems but now my family is here and I'm happy, but I don't have the manager's backing."
The 27-year-old also suggested that his refusal to warm-up was due to illness and that, when called upon, his head "wasn’t in the right place".
"I didn't want to warm up because I wasn't feeling very well so I thought it was better not to," he continued.
"So I didn't think I was in a good situation to come on because my head wasn't in the right place."

Those were comments he made to Sky immediately after the game.
He backtracked on them the following morning ..... "I didn't refuse to play" etc
The use capital letters and grammar is appalling in this post. Can we please try and maintain our impeccable standards where possible.Slim wrote:"There was some confusion on the bench and I believe my position may have been misunderstood. "I know Carlos quite well. He's a player who wants to be playing.
"When he's a sub, it'll be killing him. What I did was as bad if not worse."
"It will be killing him not playing particularly when they were struggling with five to ten minutes to play.
"That's totally up to the manager but, at the time Carlos, won't be thinking that. He'll be thinking, 'The manager is against me, why is he not bringing me on? I'm City's best player and he's not playing me'.
"I'm not saying he [Tevez] is right - it's totally up to the manager."

Did he? I thought he said that 'He is finished for me'.
