Unfortunately this will not be used by the journos or SKY (at least until it becomes unavoidable), as they are in a major crisis, having to call City a top team for the first time since before many of them worked. It hurts, oh it hurts.

I'm not sure about that mate, Spurs looked as though they earned the points yesterday, Liverpool however.john@staustell wrote:There is clearly a Big 3 forming, with Chelsea confirming their status yesterday. Let's not kid ourselves, we all know it's not actually about a certain club, it's all about the money. United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and in a lesser speak Chelsea, are the money shot for the likes of Sky and the big broadcasters. The worldwide fanbase of these clubs help to sell media rights and sponsorship worldwide and that's why Sky paid in the region of £1.5 billion, with Setanta/ESPN paying a further £0.5 billion last time around.
If the likes of the 'Sky 4' fail to make it to the top or fail to attain CL status then the amount of 'Armchair Supporters' globally won't turn on, they want to be associated with winners, not also rans so the selling rights aren't as lucrative.
So, I wouldn't say that they are in a crisis regarding us barging into their cosy set up, but we are an annoyance to them at the moment. They know we aren't going away and if successful we'll start bringing in our own global watchers to fill the boots of the previous incumbents. However, it's essential for us to carry on with the neat winning football, getting us plaudits from some corners of the media liking our play as Barca'esque, and it will be the CL that will be crucial in advertising our wares to the future 'Armchair Supporter' which will bring them, and us, more fans and revenue.
Let's hope Bobby can get it right.
