Balo

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I'd like to see, for half an hour in one of these league cup games for instance, Balotelli & Dzeko, played together, English style, 2 strikers, with a 4 man midfield involving at least one wide player & overlapping fullbacks. Not neccessarily involving Silva or Yaya Toure. Just a traditional, PL English football type power & skill formation but a lineup made from absolute quality players.

That could be our 'plan B' or 'plan C' team to give someone a completely diffferent formation & set of problems to deal with, if we're struggling in an important game. We could even switch to it for ten minutes in a big game then switch to something else.

I want to see how it looks & whether there's possibilities to use it if required. Those two could be a right fucking handful if we could get them to play off each other. Who would fancy marking them when the crosses come in ? Boateng ?

2 or 3 times the game passed him by while he was sooking on the ground. We could have done with his help. Other than that, a great game. Well done.

Best he goes along with Yaya for this little chat then.

It's his one weakness ..... AIM FOR THE FUCKING NETTING YOU TWAT !! ;-)

I must say though, that curling shot was very sexy. If only that would have gone in... what a great goal that would have been.

He has a lot of work still to do.
I'm not entirely convinced.

A mate of mine is an Inter fan and when he was there my mate would literally go on for hours about how much of a mong balo could be! But that also came from the knowledge that when he puts his mind to it he can be class!

Since he's been here I think overall he's been more the mong than the star. More likely to get sent off or underperform than to win us a game.

Having said that there's something different about him that more often than not brings a smile to my face! Somehow I think he fits in at city and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the talent inside bursts out and he continues on an upward curve with his performances!! nice hat too!

After the game I rewatched the FA semi and final, and there were parts of the games where balo literally took my breath away. He is the most naturally gifted player of his age that I have seen. I still have to pinch myself that players of this quality are wearing a city shirt
