How many of them were there?

Sky commentators said only 17 away fans in the stadium - seemed unlikely to be so few but .........

Yeah there were only a few... I'd say 17 is slightly exaggerated to be honest.

They were gash last night and it was reflected in the stands.

How can we be 'supporters', other than in a financial sense, if we only cheer the team on when they are playing well and getting us going? Seems to me that they need more support when they are gash.

I've been a huge believer in the effect of a crowd after seeing Rochdale overturn a 2-0 deficit in an LDV game against Macc a few years back with the 1500 or so fans who were there involved in a pretty much constant rendition of the Great Escape tune to keep the atmosphere going. It could be totally deluded on my part but I reckon 5 minutes of 'Come on City' at high volume could change the momentum of certain games, even if it just makes Nige launch into a tackle and come out with possession higher up the pitch, dragging everyone with him.

From someone who has only ever really sat in the gods of the CB stand I think it's great to watch the South Stand in action. However when I have sat up there and joined in with the singing there are some dodgy looks dished out like you shouldn't be trying to get folk going. When I go to see City I like to be vocal, shout, scream and sing my heart out but up there it's like it isn't welcomed!
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

It is where I am mate, we're on the front and second row in the corner next to the SS. You'll be able to make us out if we score, we're the ones who start the Poznan up there.

With respect KK that does not stack up

Does not stop Newcastle, Spurs or Bayern fans creating a great atomosphere and we are hidden 'up in the gods' (worse than our 3rd tier)

We need to man up as a set of fans tbf

It's a shit atmosphere at St James.
We weren't in 'The Gods' last time I was at WHL either. I'm sure I saw Arse fans in the bottom tier during Spuz last home game.

Well.................

The barcodes are 'known' for being good home support - although I agree something of a self-perpetuated reputation

Spurs - well the game this season is the only one I have missed - so maybe they have changed for this season?

But at the Allianz we were and so on - point is we need our fans to wake up a bit. People reminisce about the Kippax - the reality is it was the 'old kippax' that was what we should be trying to recreate - once the kippax was split over tiers then it lost the singing quality (IMO) - but I think my point holds
