I don't think so, even though it wasn't a penalty in the first place.

Fuck off.

I would wonder if Villareal would finish with 11 men on the field.... looked a bit angry and the match seems to be to fast for them

Only concern for me is injuries. They aren't a pleasant lot and are very angry now after that penalty. I would expect Silva to come off if we score again or at about 70 if it's still 2 nil.

Definitely a pen though as the 3 pundits all agreed. He does take them very coolly doesnt? A word about the ref as well. Superb I thought.

First post from a huge City fan from new york....over here we have fox soccer, does Martin Tyler and this other idiot call the games on your guys feed over there? I had to mute the game because of the anti city bias...it is nausiating. never seen it so bad.... Solid play from the boys even though silva and yaya are the only ones who are even awake out there. Although I think our youth squad could beat the side villareal put out there tonight....

Definitely a penalty. It was a stupid challenge to make in the first place as Balotelli was going nowhere. If you make contact with a player in the box and don't get any of the ball, as happened in this case, then you should expect to concede a penalty

Just saw a replay of the Balotelli goal & reaction. Definite, nailed-on monkey chants & associated arm motions from some home supporters behind the goal. Clear as day on TV.

I think the standard of refereeing in Europe in general has been a lot better than were used to

In other news, Gai Assulin just got two goals and two assists for me in the league cup vs Brentford.
