Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Craig Bellamy has called for the Football Association to take severe action against fans caught hurling abuse at players from the stands.
The Manchester City striker insists he could accept taunts about his own ability, but when family members are at the heart of the jibes a line is crossed.
The 30-year-old has had his fair share of run-ins with supporters down the years, and was recently pulled up after pushing a fan in the face after he had run on to the pitch at the end of the Manchester derby.
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 27,00.htmlI do not give a fuck what he thinks.
He is paid a fucking shit load of money.
He should be able to take a few minuets bit of shit from anyone.
Who the fuck does he think he is?
Arrogant little twat.
Try getting a real job.
Cunt.
Basically, if you do not like the abuse you lot sometimes get.
Leave football.
Get a 9-5 job.
Then tell us the difference you ungrateful cunt.
Not work 1 fucking hour per day.
I can't stand footballers sometimes.
Seriously.

I think that the player himself will always take a lot of abuse and shite from the crowd. But if you start bringing their family in to it, it's not on. However, if it's a player like Beckham who puts his family in the spotlight on purpose and laps up every bit of attention he can get then he can't complain when someone shouts something about shaggin Posh to him.

But they get so much money to cover up what happens.
And it isn't that fucking bad most of the time.
Just some daft song in the stands.
If they do not like it.
As i said.
Quit football, get a 9'5 job at 6 pound an hour.
Then tell us the difference.

Of all the people to call for a ban though. Can't honestly imagine if Bellamy wasn't on the pitch he wouldn't be in the stands hurling abuse. Maybe not at family members, that is undoubtedly out of line, but there is definitely a hint of pot-kettle going on here. If fans were banned for life for this sort of thing, I'm sure players would get harsher punishments, and Bellamy's career wouldn't in all liklihood have lasted this long.

Footballers are not paid to get their families abused from the terraces. Banter and abuse towards the player themselves as long as it doesn't cross the boundaries of race & hate are acceptable and are part of the game, and can even be quite funny, but when things get out of hand as it seems to be doing more often nowadays then something should be done. Fuck knows what though, how do you police it? What law is being broken?
I would much rather hear songs praising our players and club and hear songs taking the piss out of the opposition club rather than abusive songs towards individuals.
Apart from when it the Nevilles.

Alls i meant was they get enough money to cover up some petty abuses from the stands.
Ok.
I agree it would be hard to take some of the abuses they get.
But fuck me.
These fuckers are out there for 120 mins max.
They have never worked a 9-5 job.
Just fucks me off.
If they want it to get stopped 'ALL' this abuse they get.
Why don't they allow the player to run up the fucking stand and sort whatever cunts was doing it in the 1st place.
They haven't got a job.
They do not know the meaning of the word 'job'.

Works both ways. Imagine if a football was jogging out of the tunnel and saw a fan in the crowd sat with his wife and kids, just minding his own business not shouting anything. And imagine if the footballer just ran over and started shouting "Mate! Your wife is a fat bitch! Look at her! That isn't your son is it? Look at his fuckin teeth!" Wouldn't go down too well would it.

If you read that article about Bellamy's footy school in Sierra Leone, I think that could be described as a job of sorts. Except it costs him money.

Paul, at least show a bit of dignity and review the methylated spirits you are drinking.
I think the crowd have a role to play in this. If one of your own says something out of line, you tell them to pull their head in. Simple.
