Been a city fan for 18years...the 9years before that I was 'made' to be a rag as they are who my family support. But I watched a game live on tv and it was city vs unknown. they really impressed me as a kid and well I liked the kit ha, wish I could remember who it was against but was too young. I'm from wales so not a local blue but try get up as much as I can, fav player from past or present is by far the goat! Messi has nothing on him.....

As me name indicates, I am from Cheadle but now live in Cornwall. Went to Brookhead Primary School in the late 60's/70's. My classroom , one of those raised porta cabin types which gave a fantastic view into the Football ground next door, which in them days was Citys traning ground on certain days. Still remember watching Lee/Sumerbee/Bell and the rest being chased around by Corrigan for some unkown reason. Was a season ticket holder for years but now only get up 2 or 3 times a year and it is painful not too be able to go every week. Still have loads of mates up there who I keep in touch with and they keep me sane. Still get reminded of the one game I missed in one season, can't remember the year, however can remember the score City 10 Huddersfield 1. I had the worse hangover I had ever had and when me lift came to take me to the game I waved it on and slumped in in a chair at home and the rest is history!!
I have had a life of heartache since my early life but those glimpses of success and fun we had just made it all worthwhile. As I type a new era has begun. It is the day after the disgraceful refereeing peformance, this however galvanised both our team and our support. It also highlighted how poor the scum actually are now. Teams like Newcastle did need to take note. They have a very weak defence and no existent midfield. Now is really the time for us and yesterday convinced me more than ever......Hello to all my fellow Blues

Hi.
My name is Jim going under the user name of Starless.
My family and I are BIG City followers. I'm originally from Oldham as a child but moved to Ashton-Under-Lyne as a teenager.
I now live near London teaching the southerners how to speak an educated language along with my normal work of being in charge of a busy fire station in the East End of London.
My son and I do catch the occasional game from time to time but it's difficult with the shift work I'm on.
I was at the Gillingham game at WEMBLEY with my brothers and at the point of losing the game and time running out, we all started walking out when a police officer said City have just scored, so we ran back in to join in with the celebrations. And the rest is history.
I've recently been on another City forum app but there were too many scum followers and as you will all know, you can't have a sensible conversation with anyone following red.....

Hi. My name is Bryan Robson. I hated being called that all my life but my Dad Neville Neville, wanted to try something different. I rarely see any City games but that's because I'm a rag.

Welcome aboard mate! You sound like a good addition.

Also, all you beginners take a note. Solid first post.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Hi, i'm a fan from Singapore. glad to meet ya'll
ive grown up not really supporting a team,no team really drew me the way city has over the past few years.
city caught my attention a few years back,my friends are all calling me a glory hunter, and i dont blame them, but to me its much more than that. i am probably the only city fan now in my whole group of friends, and get shit everyday for it.
i was attracted by the team, being a huge fan of silva, balotelli, kompany, richards, yaya, kun etc i basically really love the whole team that city has put together. however, reading this forum for the past few months now, watching tunnelcam, citytv, reading all the different stories about city, DH's training reports, the gerard wiekens article, ive come to learn so much more about city fans and i would really love to be part of the family. i love the blue, and i love the motto. i love the spirit. it makes me proud to be a city fan,and despite all the shit i get from my friends about suddenly being a city fan,im still determined that win or lose this will always be the team i love.
perhaps in the coming year i would really love to spend some cash and fly down to etihad, that is currently one of my new year's resolutions. would love to be standing there watching the game with ya'll
as such and until that happens,at home or at whichever pub i go to,i am now and will always be the man shouting aloud for city, win or lose i believe wholeheartedly that i want to support this team for the rest of my life.

regards,
jon

Been a City fan all my life and certainly will be for all eternity. Utterly crushed when we lose or draw. Fall to my knees in front of the East Stand after the game when we win. Beautiful City sum up what it's all about: the pain, the glory and above all, utter, complete loyalty.

Out of interest mate, who do your mates support? If they support Wigan, Villa, Bolton etc then they have every right to call you a glory hunter. I bet they support Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and United. I that case they have no right. Am I correct?

I think it's a wind-up Dazby. From my experience, the concept of being a glory hunter has no negative connotations when it comes to football in South East Asia. I've met Malaysians, Indonesians and Filipinos who unashamedly choose the team they think will win the Prem at the start of a season, and then support them for that season only.

Also, the phrase 'fly down to etihad' (from Singapore) should ring alarm bells...
