Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I remember City struggling to get 38k 2-3 seasons ago for an FA Cup Q/F against West Ham (when they went on to the Cup Final). It shows how much our attendances have improved on the back of the excitement with the players that have been bought, and those players coming through like Weiss.
Providing the game is priced sensibly the next Round should sell out if we are at home, and I didn't think I'd say that about a League Cup tie.

I was impressed by the Scunny following. Considering the're averaging 6758 at home it ment almost 2/3 of the regulars we're there.
In contrast to the tiny Fulham following I witnessed on Sunday.
Correct me if wrong but Fulham are Leyton Orient on drugs.

Fulham had an even smaller following in the cup game, about 93 fans i think.

What I don't get is why there were a lot more City fans at this game against Scunthorpe compared to Fulham?? Midweek game my arse... some people are fucking fickle.

In reality, yes. A quid a ticket plus half term plus an adult to take them. It may be some peoples only chance to see City live!
And why are people fickle Vhero, do you turn up for every game we play?

Say 1,000 people who don't go regularly each took their 2 children = +3,000
1200 regulars each took 2 children who wouldn't normally go to midweeks = +2,400
That's 5,400 extra. About 11% of the stadium's capacity.

Talking about cup mate not the league game the attendance was 24,507 compared to the Scunthorpe game 36,358 over 12k extra (50%) so they are not just kids. I'm just saying most people didn't go to the Fulham game complaining it was midweek etc... yet manage to get to Scunthorpe fine I just want to know why and it cant just be kids I refuse to believe a 50% boost of attendance was just kids. As there was kids at the Fulham game. As for turning up for every game no I don't but I been to the Celtic friendly 2 league games and all our Carling cup matches this season. The reason I said fickle was because of the amount of people I saw on here writing excuses for not going to the Fulham match. If you don't fancy going people should just say so rather than bullshit excuses. You can't exactly say Scunthorpe are a bigger crowd drawer than Fulham can you? You would expect less people there if anything that's why they did the quid for kids. Anyway I ain't gonna argue my point anymore on here its obviously lost on some people.

I would say the opposite, it was the game that got us into the quarters, it was a lower league club unlike a team that had beat us twice at home in consecutive years. Combined with the cheap rates and school holidays, it was always a winner.
As for fickle, I went to the Fulham game which I can only describe as aweful, but missed the Scunny game for personal reasons. There is nothing fickle about not going to a game mate, it's just a matter of priority!
