He is the longest standing manager so therefore by default he would get the longest standing bans. Simply, as a knight of the realm (no Caps) he should know better than to use his peerage to enhance the rags view, but he does.

What you have failed to acknowledge is the amount of times both rooney and baconface have gotten away with nasty challenges/post match comments.

I think that too obvious bit is a bit paranoid.
I think that the punishment that Shrek and Bacon got was pretty much the maximum they could have got,I think it would have been just fines for instance if the people punishing them had only wanted to stop things appearing to obvious.
