We put the stiffs out on the sat except Sinclair and Samaras who were our two best players at the time and they both got injured, we lost both games and that was pretty much the end of Samaras and Pearce.
What happened to consistancy?

Yep, at the time Samaras was (incredibly) on fire & the only chance we had of progressing in the cup was him leading the non existent attack. Pearce got him injured, thus changing the whole atmosphere at the club from one of optimism, to one of impending doom.
Re Chelsea, it'll probably be down to the Chump's Lg result I would think.

The FA cup match is scheduled for Sunday 18th March & both clubs Prem matches are scheduled for Saturday 24th. Is it not feasable to re-arrange the fixture for Wednesday 21st or is that to simple a solution, especially as if we stay in Europa, we couldn't play until end of season unless we played every couple of days. Damn, I have just answered my own question with Bacon faces solution

FA Cup S/F 14th/15th April, when Chelsea will have to also reschedule a game against Newcastle.
Final 5th May - when they would have to rearrange Liverpool game
Europa League fixtures are:
QF 29th March and 5th April
SF 19th April and 26th April
At this moment in time, the only definate free date for both clubs (regardless of progress in competitions) appears to be 21st March - and it would be very much in both clubs' interests to get the game played asap, especially in chelsea's case to prevent them overrunning the end of the season.
There is also no fixture on sly on 21st March
Assuming we both keep winning, looks like we might avoid the risk of the rags being able to play us at our place for the league for a 4 point lead and an almost certain title.
