I think I've got it sussed out why Barca play possession football.

1. Obvious one, it tires the opposition.

and

2. I think it demoralises the other team psychologically that they haven't had the ball for so long.

Best thing about tonight is City playing away at the Nou Camp, whilst the manky lot from stretford get beat by Burnley - my my how things are changing these days

Going forward has never been a problem - it's what he does (or rather doesnt do) when the opposition have it. To be fair to him he appears to be tryind defensively today though.
