Out of context, I can see why it looks bad.

I'm pleased the club apologised as firmly as they did though - for whatever Baconface said in the past, it wasn't a classy moment. For anyone.

Im not pleased at all.
I think the club have had a serious sense of humour failure over this and handed the initiative this morning to our detractors.
A more appropriate statement would have been along the lines that Carlos probably shouldnt have done it, but, if people want to make flippant comments to belittle our club, then they should be happy to accept the consequences when those comments are brought back up by those long suffering fans with long memories.
I dont see how anybody can see this for anything other than what it is, a pointed "fuck you" to ferguson and his condescending bullshit. All the faux angst we are seeing from certain sections of the media and those rag fans hell bent on being "put out" by this "disgraceful" turn of events can kiss my fucking arse.
And as for bluemoon banning the guy and deleting the thread, i suppose its pretty clear that they are now too far up the clubs arse to be an impartial observer of city matters.
RIP Bluemoon

They could've had a sign that said 'Over your deathbed, Fergie?', quoted him directly or gone with something even more benign. That would have been much less inflammatory (or, at the very least, had far less potential to be seen as inflammatory by anyone who wants to attack the club).
There were a million and one ways to say fuck off to Ferguson that wouldn't have required any apology afterwards.
Like the fans who resort to Munich chants, the method of trying to get at United put MCFC on the back foot.

The only people who give a shit are the rags who cant see past the ends of their noses. Well fuck them!
The reality is, once the context is explained, even most united fans are finding it hard to not find this funny. Even the news are reporting the story correctly, in that the jibe is a pointed reply to sirs very own comments. It appears that the argument amongst united fans is not what tevez did, its actually gone back to their default arguments, "tevez is a cunt", "greedy bastard" etc etc, and none of the bile towards tevez actually has anything to do with this poster, more it is directed at his character (or characature).
Im fucking sick of it mate, we have had decades of this shit, 25 years of fucking put downs by this cunt and his acolytes, and as far as im concerned they should be packaged up and shoved up the scottish cunts arse sideways. If that offends them, fuck it, i really dont give a shit......they will choose their words more carefully in future wont they.

I noticed the "Not In My Lifetime" banner on the pitch on Sunday right after the final whistle as well. Also excellent.

Let the pricks make a racket. Just turn up the volume on the television.
