Mathieu flamini has apparently been released - might bob try and get him again and would he improve our squad?

In a heartbeat for me, legend and perfect for passing his experience on - especially his experience of winning the champions league

He tried to get him in his first window here but didnt work out, would be ideal back up centre mid imo assuming hes still close enough to player that left here. Wouldnt say no to seedorf either for the role that hargreaves was supposed to play last season.

Camera's in a phone, that's the future right there.

Anyway, how does this title add up to the story from Club Call?

Midfielder keen on City move
Manchester City, 12:23, June 23, 2012

Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi admits he would welcome a move to England, amid reported interest from Manchester City.

City boss Roberto Mancini has been linked with a swoop for the combative midfielder in the past and the Italian coach has previously voiced his admiration of De Rossi.

However, Mancini indicated that he thought De Rossi would be keen to remain with boyhood club Roma, but it would seem as if the 28-year-old Italy international is ready to depart Serie A.

The defensive midfielder has revealed he has been approached by English sides and De Rossi admits he would welcome a move to the Premier League.

"I have received many offers from English football. And I must say that I feel attraction for it," said De Rossi.

"I like English football very much. I think now it's probably more interesting than Italian football.

"There are lots of outstanding and talented players, as is the case for Spain as well."

I think we've already signed him. Would be good to see what is announced after the Euro's. De Rossi would be an awesome contribution to the squad!

If we'd signed DeRossi at Christmas, I recon we would have won the league several weeks earlier than we did.

So thank fuck we didn't sign him!

Next season however, he would fit our squad like a dream.

On this occasion, age doesn't count imo. If he is available: sign him.

Yeah that's part of it, but also how he is now coming out and saying he prefers English football. Either we've signed him or he's saying to Bob, come and get me!
I've just got a feeling we've already signed him, I had this feeling about still winning the league when we were 8 points behind, and that we would beat QPR when we were 2-1 down. Maybe I've got a gift????

It sounds to me like the press have asked him in the build up to the England v Italy game something along the like of "what do you think about the English Premiership?"

He said: "I have received many offers from English football. And I must say that I feel attraction for it.

"I like English football very much. I think now it's probably more interesting than Italian football.

"There are lots of outstanding and talented players, as is the case for Spain as well."

More a case of being polite than of joining us! He has just signed a five year deal so I can't see him moving any time soon.

That's how I see it Pieboy. The usual media asking loaded questions to get a story, usually quoted out of context. Then, when they come out and say they are happy at their club and don't sign, another story comes out to say they've 'Snubbed' us.

What's Chinners 'Snub' count up to now?

Maybe Roma needs money and instead of selling him to one of the rivals, they prefere to do that abroad.

But sill, i think too that this is probably italian news crap.

Just think, signing's from now on can be classed as 'Going to win medals' rather than 'Just for the money'.
