Rags agree fee for van persie

Postby ashton287 » Wed Aug 15, 2012 6:34 pm

On sky sports news now. Apparently it is a massive coup.

So 2 new strikers. One old as fuck and the other a 1 goal wonder. Only Kagawa brought in in midfield so I'm not worried about these atall.

All over my facebook, rags are made up, 'can't believe this' 'in shock' etc,

To be honest I'lld take Sergio and Tevez over RVP and Shrek anyday, blue specs aside

Nothing to worry about, Maybe bring in our own marqee signing just to steal there light, otherwise fuck them.

I'd disagree there Ash, I think he will be a very good addition, especially with the likes of Valencia, Young or Nani feeding him. The big question will always be his fitness and with all the injuries for the Rags last season, he's got to keep himself out of trouble.

But like you, I'm not too worried and never believed he was coming anywhere near us. As for the Arse fans, I wonder if VP has risen above Nasri in the hatred stakes.

not sure what to make of this - I have always said from the start that I am happy with our striking force as things stand, and to make way for RVP one of tevez, aguero and mario will get less games and inevitably get pissed off - and Dzeko is already in a piss
there just wasn't room for RVP

however - he has made the rags double stronger - him and rooney are 2 of the best in the world - and will compliment each other perfectly - it is a hell of a coup for man utd and if they can keep him fit (questionable) - they will be a real force this season

that said - tevez is our "new" striker and I rate him over RVP so fuggit !

I was never too desperate for us to sign RVP but I really didn't want Utd too. It doesn't seem like the most sensible signing from a long term perspective by Fergie, I don't think he'd be signing him if Aguero hadn't scored in the last minute against QPR.

Not a good thing really from our perspective for next year because RVP is a hell of a lot better than Wellbeck.

Maybe it will just make it that bit sweeter when we win the league again next year that they spent so much playing catch up but couldn't =)

A response is needed. RVP is real quality; a turd, but he can play for sure. Mancini will be triple pissed off by this. The turd is 29 and they will sink maybe 50m into the deal. That is a hell of a risk. But with weetabix head, they are now much more of a genuine threat to us. Much, much more.

The Marwood situation could get more acrimonious. We'll see.

I don't trust the RAG fitness regime to keep him playing all season, here's hoping for their usual injury crisis.

I think it shows Fergie is thinking very short term signing a 29 year old. It will definitely take a little while for him to adjust to the scum, he was shocking in the euro's playing for a team that wasnt set up for him and I think that is what the rags will get for atleast a month or 2.

They had the wingers last year and a striker that can get on the end of the ball but they have a HUGE gaping hole in the centre of the pitch that taggart seems intent on ignoring. I am happy that they haven't improved anywhere near enough to match us.

i cant believe people say they are not arsed about this.
he is a massive signing for them
hes full of assist and goals
while i didnt want him to sign for us as he wouldnt have strengthed us he has certainly strengthed our biggest rivals.
71 goals betweeen him and rooney last year makes them very dangerous

4th, I think he would rather have stayed at the Arse than come to us.

I agree with this. They are going to have to bypass the midfield and bacon will be gone before too long, either retired. senile or dead.

van persie is a c@nt joining a team full of c@nts. Works for me.

And on a side note, kagawa was utterly wretched for Japan today. Typical mune. He missed an open goal from five yards out and that was one of his highlights.

Bugger, no bites ;-)

As I've mentioned before, I don't believe we were really in for him and it was mainly down to media fabrications that he was seen as our number 1 target. Mancini, and those who had to comment, were nothing more than respectful of RVP and Arsenal but at the same time kept us close to the deal and forced the price up.

PS. Never wanted him, he's a cunt.

It is widely believed we pulled out of the deal when RVP dropped the bombshell that he wanted a four year deal at 220k. City rightly saw at 29 years old and injury prone, this was a huge risk, especially when high earners like Ade still refuse to move on.

So in the end United were the only club willing to pay up. This said RVP is a top player and will do well at the scum, they just have to prey he stays fit and age doesn't see him dip in form.

The deal represents a massive risk to them imo but fair play if they want to gamble. I'm just delighted that City didn't.

One of their better signings for some time. Wonder where super chicowhasit will fit in now? It brings them closer to us without a doubt. I just hope last season was his best ever for the rest of his career and that him and granny shagger will not get on at all. Here is hoping..... Our squad is still much better though.

City are the team to beat. No doubt whatsoever. It's between us and them. Probably always will be. Chelsea were terrified of our fucking B team. Kind of B, anyway. We rule. Let's just add a player. Blow them away.
